My 50 gallon electric water heater appears to have died, and I need to get a replacement. Recommendations for good companies to call for estimates will be greatly appreciated.
The city is partnering with a company pushing a water-sewer line protection program for homeowners to enroll in. I was wondering if it's legit or worth doing, because I'm sceptical.

My alley is being gated and the city just hauled away the large communal dumpsters and dropped off a bin in my front yard.
I am so not thrilled with the idea of smelly garbage near the house, particularly in summer. I have some old galvanised cans which came with the house and are in the back yard. I will probably fill them first and then take the bagged trash to the bin the evening before pick up when I set it out.
How do others who have been switched to the personal bins deal with it?
I found a pair of shorts I'm trying to date. They have a no label, but use a Lamar zipper, a brand I'd never heard of. Styling leads me to believe they're from the 1960's.
I can't find any information on the company and when they were in business, which would help narrow down my time frame.
