Quantum is holding $1.3k of my money hostage despite returned pods!

I cancelled my Quantum account and returned all five pods via the UPS label they provided me.

A few weeks later I happened to check my credit card to find a $1.3k surprise charge from Quantum (1st pic).

Checking my bill on the closed account, they charged me for 8x unreturned pods. This is crazy cause I only ever had 5 from them, and I definitely returned them. I reached out to their shitty online support (2nd pic). They assured me it would be refunded back to my card by 5/10 (3rd pic).

Today, 14 days later, I check again to find that no refund had been issued due to a "system error" (4th pic) 🤦‍♂️

There was nothing they could do to escalate and told me to wait another 5-10 business days, so I'll be checking my CC again. They were unwilling to refund using more immediate methods nor compensate me in any other form for the considerable 4-digit amount they've held hostage through a series of errors on their part.

I asked them to note on the case # that if I do not see a refund in full I will be taking them to Washington State small claims court.

Key takeaway: be sure to always request chat transcript (5th pic) and save for your records cause this company sucks. Also save any tracking numbers / UPS labels used for returning hardware to them. I'm on my second month of following up to get considerable money back.

The only power I feel I have here is to rant about it on Reddit 🥺.
