Kindred The Embraced

Ok,

So who else was super into Kindred: The Embraced and disappointed that WW didn't really do anything with the property? I mean not even a book, or source book. I can understand it became a given up property when the main actor passed, but still there was so much they could have done with it.

Also looking back, I can see shades of what would become The Requiem from the general way they handled the clans.

Ok, I know that there's a rumor that JH Studios happened to recycle a lot of prop pieces and puppets, but I was wondering if the skeksis were recycled into the Halosians from the 2000s TV show Farscape.

They seem to be about the right height and build, and the way they move seems very similar to me.

Both were done by JH studios and the time between Dark Crystal and Farscape was only about 15ish years. (A decade less between Farscape's release and current day.) One of the people who worked on the show even gave a cheeky nod to it being maybe, but that's about it.

Once Upon A Time

"The Hero did it.

He defeated The Shadow Queen who had ripped him out of his life just earlier this day.

The magician Lecrouix, his stalwart friend on this journey managed to rip a hole back into his reality and he slipped out of it just as easily as The Shadow Queen had pulled him in. He was the hero, the 1984 Champion of The Fighting Norman's Football season, the most promising upcoming Graduate of 1985, the man who had beaten back The Shadow Queen and freed everyone who lived in her twisted realm.

The Hero resisted doing a victory lap around his town's small central park area. In his mind he could hear Starship's "Nothin's Gonna Stop Us Now" as he broke down into a controlled jog down the maple covered street that lead to Tiffany's house. Off in the distance at the town Hall he could hear the bell ring eight times. He still had time. He could still take her to see 'Goonies' at the Bixjou.

He turned off and headed down the road to his house, he would need to clean himself up. The black blood of The Shadow Queen and the Shadowlings still clung to him. The only thing that made him make it through the day was the idea of getting back to Tiffany, the perfect girl next door. He took the steps leading to his parent's front door three at a time. He tried to open the door and it was locked. "What?" He asked himself as he tried it again and resorted to knocking.

There was a good minute pause. "Mom's probably still up." He thought to himself as the door opened. And. . . no. It wasn't his mom. It was Tiffany's mom, or at least someone who looked very much like her. Slightly older and wearing less frumpy clothing. Something was wrong. He looked past her into the living room, and at the large wing back chair in front of the fireplace was his father. . . wait. No. Not his father. Someone who looked eerily similar.

"Tiffany! Close the door I'm going to call the cops!" That voice. No, that man, that man looked like an older version of himself. The last thing The Hero saw of his parent's home was the older looking version of himself take out a small glass box and start yelling into it how they needed the police right away.

Something was wrong. Something was very wrong."

The End / The Start.
