These marks and haze are exactly why choosing the cheapest option for detailing or paint work can backfire.

A lot of people compare only prices, but detailing is heavily skill and knowledge based. Wrong chemicals, aggressive compounds, poor pad choice, dirty towels, overheating the panel, or improper polishing technique can permanently damage paint and trim.

A proper detailer understands:

• Paint thickness

• Chemical compatibility

• Polishing systems

• Heat management

• Decontamination

• Finishing techniques

• How to preserve clear coat instead of just making it “look shiny”

Cheap work often looks okay for a few hours or under shade, until sunlight exposes everything.

In detailing, you’re not just paying for labor you’re paying for experience, safe processes, and the ability to avoid damage like this.

When a 50:50 exposes the service center’s interior cleaning

Lexus ES came in after a service center interior dry clean. Did a quick 50:50 on the seat just to test it… and the difference shocked the owner.

Turns out the previous ‘cleaning’ barely touched the embedded dirt. One proper pass completely changed the look of the leather
