How are people getting custom colors on the BMW M340i in India?

Hey everyone, I've been seeing a bunch of BMW M340is in India with custom colors that aren't on BMW India's official website.

Since BMW only offers a few standard paint options for this car, I'm super curious how this is even happening. Are dealerships doing these custom colors in-house before delivery, or are owners getting them done aftermarket?

I'd love to know the exact process people are using to get these non-standard colors on their cars. Thanks!

If this was your car, how are you getting out of this spot?

which escape route would you trust more here? Forward or reverse?

What is this yellow/brown spot on PPF? Looks like it's damaging the film

Found this small spot on the edge of a PPF covered panel. It has a dark center with a yellow/orange halo around it. I'm trying to determine whether it's iron fallout/rust contamination, tar, something trapped under the film, or actual PPF damage

Has anyone seen this before, and what would be the safest way to remove it without damaging the PPF? Attached photo.

Wheel Detailing a seriously Neglected set

These wheels were covered in baked-on brake dust, grime, and contamination. After a deep wheel detailing session, the difference was night and day

Swipe for the before and after shots.

What would you rate the turnaround?

Need Recommendations for a Strong Hard Water Spot Remover

Looking for recommendations for a strong and effective hard water spot remover that works well on:

• Paint

• Glass

• Plastic trim

Preferably something you've personally used with good results on heavily neglected vehicles.

What products have worked best for you, and are there any hidden gems worth trying?

Tyre blooming before & after - huge difference

Picked up heavy tyre blooming on this one, the brown layer kept coming back even after normal washing. Used a proper tyre cleaner and multiple scrub passes to pull out all the old oxidation, blooming and dressing residue from the rubber.

The amount of brown contamination coming out was insane. After cleaning, the tyre looked deep black again and dressing bonded much better.

Products/tools used:

• Carpro Retyre

• Tire brush

• Multiple rinse & scrub cycles

• Water based tire dressing after complete cleaning - Carpro Perl

A lot of people keep applying dressing over blooming, but unless the tyre is fully cleaned first, it never looks properly finished.

Please Tell Your Service Centre To Avoid This

I had this car in for detailing with heavy settled dust, sticky buildup in the engine bay, and grime in multiple areas mainly caused by the cheap silicone polish often used at service centres. Over time, it attracts dust and leaves surfaces greasy and difficult to maintain.

If you’re getting your car serviced, make sure to give strict instructions to avoid those silicone-based dressings and polishes.

Here’s the before & after transformation of a car that came in with the same issue. Let me know how it turned out

Car Owners, Please Avoid This 🙏

Please avoid those cheap silicone polishes service centres use 🙏

This car had crazy dust buildup and sticky surfaces everywhere, especially in the engine bay. The silicone layer was literally trapping dirt and grime.

Most people think the car looks “fresh” after service because of the shine, but after some time it just becomes a dust magnet.

Did a proper cleanup and detailing on this one and the difference came out really satisfying.

Products used:

• Meguiar’s Super Degreaser

• Meguiar’s APC

• Work Stuff Detailing Brushes

Let me know how the transformation turned out 👀

Feel free to ask any questions.

The car’s paint had lost its gloss and developed heavy swirl marks, marring, and surface imperfections due to poor covering habits and improper cleaning techniques over the years.

Process:

• Pre Wash & Foam Wash

• Chemical + Clay Decontamination

• Paint Inspection

• Compounding Stage

• Polishing / Refining Stage

• IPA / Panel Wipe

• Paint Protection

• Final Finish Inspection

Products Used:

• Menzerna Cut Force Pro

• Menzerna Medium Cut Polish 2500

• Menzerna Super Finish Plus 3800

The satisfying transformation of a neglected daily driver

This 4-year-old Kia Seltos looked decent from a distance, but the close-up shots exposed years of brake dust, hard water buildup, grime, silicone residue, and contamination hiding in every corner.

No temporary shine tricks, just deep cleaning and proper detailing to bring the car back to a cleaner and fresher condition.

Feel free to ask any questions about the process, products and rate this transformation.

POV: They knew a “cheaper guy”

These marks and haze are exactly why choosing the cheapest option for detailing or paint work can backfire.

A lot of people compare only prices, but detailing is heavily skill and knowledge based. Wrong chemicals, aggressive compounds, poor pad choice, dirty towels, overheating the panel, or improper polishing technique can permanently damage paint and trim.

A proper detailer understands:

• Paint thickness

• Chemical compatibility

• Polishing systems

• Heat management

• Decontamination

• Finishing techniques

• How to preserve clear coat instead of just making it “look shiny”

Cheap work often looks okay for a few hours or under shade, until sunlight exposes everything.

In detailing, you’re not just paying for labor you’re paying for experience, safe processes, and the ability to avoid damage like this.
