Just bought a TCL 43T6C – Looking for the best picture settings for PS5 and movies (Netflix, Prime Video, etc.)

Hi everyone!

I recently bought a TCL 43T6C (43" QLED 4K 60Hz), and this is my first Smart TV, so I'm still learning all the available picture settings.

I'd like to get the absolute best image quality possible, both for:

- Gaming on a PlayStation 5

- Watching movies and TV shows on Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, etc.

I noticed there are many picture modes (Game, Movie, Standard, Dynamic...) and a lot of settings such as:

- Brightness

- Contrast

- Color

- Sharpness

- Color temperature

- Motion Clarity / MEMC

- HDR / Dolby Vision settings

- Game Master / Game Booster

- Any other advanced options worth changing

I'm especially interested in hearing from people who own the TCL T6C (or a very similar TCL model). Have you found settings that give the best balance between image quality, natural colors, HDR performance, and gaming responsiveness?

If possible, could you share your complete picture settings (or even post photos of your settings menus)?

Any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

RED 521 Sport - High-speed needle has almost no effect, possible front bearing issue?

I've been chasing a problem with my RED 521 Sport. The high-speed needle seems to have almost no effect: even when I richen it a lot, the engine still revs extremely high and sounds lean. The HSN is almost sticking out of the carb, which doesn't seem normal.

  • Carburetor was already replaced completely by the dealer.
  • Engine had 1L break-in on the bench by the dealer + 3L very rich on track.
  • Engine now has about 5L total.
  • The problem becomes much worse after 40–50 minutes, once fully hot.
  • Fuel lines, fuel tank and air filter have all been checked/replaced.

I'm attaching photos of:

  1. The front bearing area (it looks quite oily/dirty).
  2. The piston after completely disassembling the engine.

Does the piston wear look normal? Does the front bearing show any obvious signs of failure? I noticed a slight amount of play in the front bearing after disassembly. Could a leaking/worn front bearing cause the HSN to become almost ineffective and make the engine keep revving as if it's lean?

Long-term experience with the HobbyZone Carbon Cub S2 – pros, cons, and durability over time?

Hi everyone!

I currently own the HobbyZone Sport Cub S2 and I’m still very much a beginner (less than 3 hours of total flight time so far).

I’m considering upgrading to the Carbon Cub S2 in a few months, and I’d really like to hear from people who actually own or have owned it long-term.

What I’d love to know:

How do you like the Carbon Cub S2 overall?

Is it truly beginner-friendly or are there hidden drawbacks?

How durable is it over time with regular use/crashes?

Are there any common issues or things you wish you knew before buying it?

Did you make any upgrades or modifications to improve reliability or flight experience?

Any real-world experience is really appreciated, especially from pilots who have been flying it for a while.

Thanks in advance!

Sport Cub S2 got carried away by the wind today – should I keep training with it or move to a Carbon Cub?

Today I had a pretty scary experience with my Sport Cub S2.

I flew in a new location with around 10-12 km/h wind and some stronger gusts. Everything was fine at first, but then the plane suddenly climbed, got pushed downwind, and ended up really far away. At one point I barely had any control and couldn't get it back toward me.

I eventually cut the throttle and tried to bring it down. I was extremely lucky and managed to find it in a huge abandoned field. Surprisingly, the plane was completely undamaged.

I currently have about 1 hour of total flight time and around 10 landings. This experience made me realize how sensitive the Sport Cub is to wind, and I'm wondering if continuing with such a small plane is the best option.

Should I keep training with the Sport Cub S2 until I get more experience, or would moving to a Carbon Cub actually make things easier because of the larger size and weight?

Also, does what happened sound normal for a beginner flying a micro trainer in gusty conditions, or am I missing something important?

I'd appreciate any advice from more experienced pilots.

My first RC airplane: the Sport Cub S2 is an amazing trainer!

Here's a short clip from one of my recent flights with my Sport Cub S2.

This is my very first RC airplane, and honestly, I've been having a fantastic time with it. As a complete beginner, I found it very forgiving and easy to learn on. The SAFE system has been incredibly helpful for building confidence, and the airplane feels stable while still being fun to fly.

I've spent quite a few hours on a simulator before flying for real, but the Sport Cub S2 made the transition much smoother than I expected. Every flight teaches me something new, and I'm enjoying the hobby more and more.

Looking ahead, I'm already thinking about getting something a bit bigger in a few months, possibly a Carbon Cub S2 or a similar aircraft. For those of you with more experience, do you think that would be a good next step after the Sport Cub S2?

I'd love to hear your recommendations and experiences!

Complete beginner getting into RC planes – is the E-flite Sport Cub S 2 a good first plane? Looking for advice, maintenance tips, common failures, simulators, spare parts, etc.

Hi everyone,

I’m completely new to RC airplanes and I’m thinking about starting with the E-flite Sport Cub S 2 RTF as my first aircraft.

I already have experience with RC cars/nitro buggies, so I’m not completely new to the RC hobby in general. I already do maintenance, repairs, diff oils, bearings, tuning, cleaning, replacing broken parts, battery care, etc., on my RC buggy, but I have basically zero experience with flying RC models.

From what I’ve read online, the Sport Cub S 2 seems to be one of the best beginner-friendly planes because of the SAFE system and panic recovery, and I also noticed that spare parts seem pretty cheap compared to many other RC models, which sounds great for learning without being terrified of crashing.

Before buying it, I wanted to ask for advice from people with real experience.

I’d especially like to know:

  • Is this actually a good first plane for a complete beginner?
  • Is it durable enough for the inevitable beginner crashes?
  • What parts usually break first?
  • Are spare parts easy to find long-term?
  • Is it expensive to maintain?
  • What maintenance should be done regularly?
  • Are there common issues or weaknesses with this model?
  • Anything I should upgrade immediately or avoid changing?
  • What weather/wind conditions are safe for a beginner?
  • What are the most common mistakes new pilots make?
  • What should I absolutely avoid doing during the first flights?
  • How difficult is landing compared to driving RC cars?
  • Is the included transmitter good enough for learning?

I’d also love recommendations for:

  • RC flight simulators
  • beginner practice routines
  • useful tools/accessories
  • battery care tips
  • YouTube channels or learning resources

My goal is not aerobatics or speed — I just want a reliable trainer to learn properly, improve step by step, and avoid destroying it immediately.

Any advice is appreciated!
