Better Option 83” C6H or 98” QM8K
Choosing between 83” LG C6H ($3105) or 98” QM8K ($2745) after tax. The TV will be used for watching sports 80% of the time. All the complaining about poor motion on TCL has me leaning OLED.
Thoughts?

Looking at the Q77k, QM5k, and the QM6k. Essentially, $800 vs $1200. Is the QM6K worth the premium over the other two? Which of the lower options wins out?
I like the idea of buying from Costco for the warranty, but the QM5K seems like an awesome deal at Best Buy.
What would you guys pick if you had to choose from above?
I want to set my next TV in my living room that is close to a window with some lighting but it isn’t directly hitting my current TV (TCL R635). I wanted to have better colors and refresh rate for sports.
I’m big on movies, soccer, and UFC.
Feel free to reply with videos of your TVs displaying that content. Thank you!
I have been talking to someone on marketplace about buying their TCL 98" QM8K. In order to get it I would need to rent a cargo van and drive about 40 minutes each way to get it and purchase a new stand because I do not want to mount it to the wall. They have it listed at $2300 and asked if I would consider 2100. I think I could get a much better deal considering they're in a fairly remote location and it's a bulky item to move and if they really want it gone and I'm the only one willing to take it, I think I could really get the price down. I'm not married to this specific TV but if i can grab a great deal on it, it would be worth the effort.
What do you think would be a good price for me to take this at? I would think a van and the cheapest big stand alone might run me $300-400. Thanks for any feedback.
I recently saw the samsung qled and it was so amazing even the movies on Netflix look so realistic that i never saw netflix like this before so i decided to buy this tv but when i go to lulu the salesman convinced me to buy hisense with the same price. Also tcl looks amazing.
Now i got confused should i go for samsung qled as samsung is a big brand or tcl qled or hisense qled as in the same price i can get a uograde version of hisense.
But
the salesman told me that these samsung are manufactured in egypt and has a low quality in comparison with hisense and tcl . Because tcl and hisense they both are made in china and thats why have better quality,
Any have experienced in this. I am also buying this for ps5
Snagged a used QM6K earlier this week and so far, I’m content with it, but I’m wondering if I should be using streaming device instead of the native apps.
My TV watching is mainly YouTube, some Dolby movies and some college football games. Mainly SDR content. I do have a 2017 Nvidia Shield but not sure if it’s worth using or if I should upgrade to the 2019 model. I know the Apple TV 4K is good but I prefer an android device.
Thanks!
Edit: the AI robot tells me I could see some improvements in bitrate, frame rate matching and some app optimization but I’m curious what the real life experiences are.
Has anyone faced this issue tv is not even month old
I am looking to upgrade my current 77” LG C1 OLED tv in my home theater room. Because my seating distance is 13’ (3.96 meters) from the TV, I really wanted to upgrade to a 98” tv. In a perfect world, I would buy the LG 98” G6 OLED, but I am not paying $24K for a TV. I was about to pull the trigger on the Sony Bravia 7ii at 98”, if the Bravia 9ii was available in 98” I would buy that. HOWEVER, today I saw that the TLC QM8L is on sale at Best Buy for $3,999. For that price, I am seriously considering it. From everything I have read, the Sony 7ii is probably slightly better for movie watching…etc, but is it $5K better (the 7ii is currently $8,999)? I could buy 2 QM8Ls for the price of a single Sony. Will I regret my decision? What are everyone’s thoughts?
After 8 months my parents c6k 55" developed clear dirty marks inside the panel.
It's still in warranty but fuck TCL customer care sucks in India, their site forum is broken, both customer care no. dont work, no actual TCL store I can walk into.
Last resort is a straight email that I've sent. Any other way I might have luck claiming warranty?
I know TCL has a "ART" tv. My wife really wants one. But I'm only seeing the "2024" version. Has a new version been released in the states? If so what's its official name? I don't want to get one that's almost 3 years old. Thanks
I've never seen this happen and don't know how to fix it. You can see that the green color "stays" there for a brief moment (I have no idea of what the technical terms are mb) (On ps5 btw if that matters)
I have a **65” TCL C7K QD Mini-LED** mainly for **PS5 Pro gaming**. I like the brightness, blacks are very good, and blooming is minimal from my normal viewing position.
Should i **keep the qd-miniled C7K or switch to either LG C5 OLED or Samsung S90F OLED**
Also, if anyone here has **personally switched from a good Mini-LED to OLED**, how big was the difference in real use? Was it a massive upgrade or more of a small refinement?
Just bought a new TCL tv however there are times when we are watching Netflix it sometimes displays a green screen but it goes away for a few seconds or if we rewind the video. It's quite random but wanted to know how we can fix it? Thanks
My tv went out yesterday (I’ve had it for years) and I planned on upgrading to a Bravia 8 II OLED tv or something similar in that tier, by the end of the year. I didn’t expect my tv to go out, so I bought this TCL Q51K in a pinch today at Walmart and I’m very impressed with it. Ive never heard of the brand so I was skeptical at first. I got the 65 inch. The gaming is very nice on it as well as 4k movies. Some bleeding of course on black screen but it’s not bad at all! I still plan on getting the OLED this fall for my living room and moving this one to my bedroom, but just wanted to make this post to say this tv is definitely not bad for someone on a budget, or not wanting to spend so much. It’s such a nice tv for $368!!
Powered on my tv last night and I have dead pixels showing... The TV is 2 months old purchased from best buy in June... Ridiculous.
[ I called warranty they asked for pictures and some other things but I was just wondering if anyone has had similar issue almost out of the damn box ]
My worry is that it's small enough not to be picked up by my Google 9 pro XL but it's visible from more than 10 foot away.
I usually buy Samsung but this TV had better specs so I took a chance.
Thanks,
since i updated to 643 (c7k) i have blur/ghosting when playing 120hz wtf
Hello everyone I am looking to buy a TCL screen but I am a bit hesitant to do so. I heard that the are “the best budget screens for gaming”. Is that true ? If yes what are the best screens? I am on a bit of a budget tbh and trying to buy the best possible quality for value screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance
I picked up a new 98QML. I had it hooked to my 825VA UPS/Surge Protector without thinking anything of it. Apparently this giant TV has overloaded and burned up my 825va UPS. Can anyone advise what size UPS I need for this TV? I will also have a blue ray, sound bar, Amazon cube, and Nintendo Switch hooked up to it.
Will this one be big enough?
