17yo UC HOUSING ELEMENT
My 17 year old receives carers allowance and has a UC claim with his first payment being due next week. They’ve updated his journal saying that he cannot claim housing costs despite them originally telling us that he can and we just had to get him added to the tenancy which I’ve done.
Is this correct? It’s not a major issue as he turns 18 in under 2 weeks so it would only be this months housing element he couldn’t claim.
