Flight cancelled 2 days in a row
I was supposed to fly from MSP to SEA the evening of 7/31. Less than five hours before takeoff, the flight was cancelled. I was annoyed but rebooked for the following evening. On 8/1, the same flight was cancelled AGAIN about four hours before departure. I called Sun Country (on hold for 45 mins) and they had no other available flights on 8/1 or 8/2. I was extremely frustrated but there was really no recourse. I cancelled and rebooked an absurdly expensive flight with Delta.
What's the point of booking a flight if it can be cancelled so easily? More importantly, what's the point of booking a BUDGET flight if you are just forced to book an expensive, last-minute flight with a more reliable airline?
My guess is that the flights were not full, and given current fuel prices, would not have been worth it to the company's bottom line. So, they were cancelled. Sun Country clearly has no integrity, but we also need regulations to protect consumers in this scenario.
TL;DR, Sun Country is inept, unreliable, has no regard for their customers and I will henceforth avoid them like the plague.
