Sizing pros and cons

For those that have used multiple sizes, which is your favorite and why? Or what are the pros and cons of the sizes you have used? I currently own an A5 Filofax and am just getting back into it. However, I am now a SAHM and am wondering if I need a smaller size so it can be more portable (take to the grocery store, kids activities, different areas of the house, etc).

Which screws for a DIY stand?

I am building a credenza/fish tank stand where the fish tank will sit in the middle so there will be extra space on the front and sides of the credenza for drinks and a lamp. The length of the credenza is going to be ~86" and the tank I have is ~38 gallon (47.3" x 13.8" x 13.8"). I've cut the wood and have my build ready to go. I originally bought Deckmate #9 x 2-1/2" coated deck screws (T25). I’ve only installed 3 screws so far. Then I noticed the box specifically says “Not intended for structural applications.”

Should I switch to GRK R4 #9 x 2-1/2" Multi-Purpose Framing Screws, which are rated for structural/framing applications. Or should I keep/use the Deckmates? I want to do this right!! I also included an image that shows the basic framing method I’m using, but my finished stand will have additional cross-support beams across the top and bottom and be skinned in plywood.

Sold out.. what to do?

Hi! You all make me so envious with your beautiful tanks. I LOVE my betta, I want to upgrade from a 6 gallon tank to the UNS 90L (21.3 Gallon 35.43" x 11.81" x 11.81") and have a gorgeous behind the couch aquascape. I picked almost everything but was slowly loading my cart the last 2 weeks with my dream tank items.. and now the tank itself is sold out everywhere!! I have heard they will be back in stock in 1-2 months.

Here are my options:

  1. Wait until the UNS 90L is back in stock

  2. Buy the UNS 90L limited edition (blue frosted background, but I am not sure I really want a constant blue background and am interested in the atmos light background so i can have ambience which I cannot do with this option)

  3. Landen 90P (19.4 Gallons, 35.43" L x 11.81" W x 11.42" H) but the almost half an inch height drop is not ideal as I was already worried the 11.81 of the UNS was shorter than I wanted.

  4. Go custom Waterbox with a 36" x 14" x 14".. the tank is not too much more money wise, but the shipping is 3 times as expensive and only mesh lid options which is not ideal in my house. Also, I may have to rethink the furniture I planned to put it on and may have to get something else because of the extra weight. So this the most expensive option.

I feel bad for my betta being in a 6 gallon and want a tank aesthetically more pleasing.. What would you do in my shoes?
