Fire Department Of Humanity Live

Saw the guys in '01. Mustaine stepped up to the mic and announced they would play a new song from their upcoming album "Fire Department Of Humanity". Shame it never got released.

Unknown Song From 2001

Was going through my dad's bootleg tapes, and saw a Megadeth one from 2001 (Web Theatre, we think). He isn't a Megadeth fan, and only went along as a friend from work bought him a ticket; I never even knew he saw them.

The cassette only has four songs, and the setlist on the inlay is "Kill The King, Hangar 18, New Song, Holy Wars". Wake Up Dead is crossed out then Holy Wars is written, he was definitely not a big fan, lol.

"New Song" doesn't sound like anything from System Has Failed, so I'm wondering it if could possibly be from the scrapped/lost 'Fire Department Of Humanity'. If anyone recognizes the song, let me know - it could be a single they never included on an album, or something.

Will try to find the ticket stub and confirm which show it was.

The tape is pretty chewed up, not great quality, and only this part of the song is audible. Certain parts of the known songs are audible - I can upload them if people want (still not good audio, however).

Ranking albums as an outsider

I am not a huge Kiss fan, but have listened to a fair amount throughout the last year or so, as my friend really likes them. I don't know much about which albums are highly-regarded and which are viewed negatively, so this ranking is basically a non-fan perspective, thought it might be interesting.

Kameron/Green Day story

This is Kameron.

He was at a show in Minnesota in 2023 when a group near the barricade started directing racial abuse toward him during the set. It escalated quickly and became loud enough that people around them started reacting.

Billie Joe Armstrong noticed something was off almost immediately. He stopped mid-song, pointed toward the area, and called it out directly over the mic. Security moved in right after that.

He made it very clear the show wouldn’t continue while that was happening, and the individuals involved were removed from the pit. Only after that did he restart the song from the beginning.

Kameron later posted that the moment changed the tone of the entire night for him — from feeling singled out to feeling like the situation was actually taken seriously in real time.

Say what you want about stadium shows, but that kind of intervention is rare.

Kameron passed away in 2025, but his situation will always serve as a reminder to do the right thing.
