CNA SKILLS TEST

So today I took my skills test, and I didn't do it until almost 2 hours from when my test was scheduled because they were behind?

I also got two skills where I had to measure and honestly that is my weak point 😭 so I think I probably failed.

So for awhile I've wanted to join the af, but I'm bouncing back between the guard and reserves.

For context I'm 17f, I turn 18 this fall admist my senior year and I was planning on enlisting after my birthday. Before I had these plans, I and my family were on board for me doing nursing at a technical college for 2 years and then getting my bachelor's at a university for 4 years. I've already been taking classes and during senior year my plan is to knock out 6 more classes.

The only problem is now that I want to join the air force and continue my education that way - my parents disagree.

However I'm thinking abt going reserve so I can stay in my state.

My questions are:

  1. Would my college credits I already will have transfer over, or will I have to retake classes?

  2. Would the chances of securing a medical job higher in the reserves than the guard?

  3. I heard that the reserves doesn't pay for everything like the guard, is that true?

Thank you!!

I've been thinking about starting the application process for enlistment for awhile, I've already talked to a recruiter, but my only problem really is my family. Some of them don't really approve of me joining the military especially because my original plan was to go to college for nursing, however I'm kinda taking a detour toward that. Unfortunately I don't turn 18 until later this year, so I can't really do anything "on my own" per say.

Any advice on how to talk to my family about my decision or anything? Thank you.
