black 2 and white 2

picked these up super recently and they look legit to me but i'm not 100% sure.

the text under pat. pend on white 2 is super faded and doesn't pick up well on camera due to age but it says IRDONOJ13

pokemon black & pokemon diamond.. are they real?

picked these up for under 60 dollars each with the case! i'm finally rebuilding my childhood pokemon ds game collection but i wanna make sure they're real in case i needed to return them. the codes under pat pend are faded due to age i suspect so i'm gonna write them out here as the camera doesn't pick them up super well.

pokemon black: IRBONOJ22

pokemon diamond: ADAEN5J11

gwinnett tech allied health programs - how i got in!

hi everyone! i applied to gwinnett tech for all four of their imaging programs and i decided to make some sort of short guide to try to help people. it was very stressful for me during the application process and i thought this might give some pointers to people that will be in my position in the future!

i applied to cath, echo, radiology and dms. the only one i wasn't able to get into was dms.

GPA: 4.0
TEAS: 94.7% (science score 93% and english 93% - they weigh that for dms/sonography)
healthcare experience/lab hours: i did not have any previous healthcare experience and i did not do the echo/sonography optional lab hours. i STRONGLY recommend doing those lab hours for bonus points as i believe that's why i wasn't able to get into the dms program.

how i studied for the TEAS: i had about ~3 weeks after i finished a&p 2 and i studied at LEAST 3 hrs per day. if you take the a&p courses at gwinnett tech and did well, you'll find that you only really need to do an overall review of a&p as those classes prepare you extremely well. i recommend tyler dewitt for chem/bio, archer review for math/english/science, and i used futurern for a review of grammar rules and a&p. i also recommend doing the official practice tests from the ATI TEAS website and also the mometrix practice tests. for reading, i mainly studied by doing the practice tests (i find it hard to study for reading).

prereqs pointers: try to get as close to a 4.0 as possible!!! the applicant pool was EXTREMELY competitive this year and from what i've seen on reddit, they mainly invited people with 3.7+ GPAs and a 90%+ TEAS. the a&p courses at gwinnett tech are extremely difficult, but i recommend them strongly as they prepared me very well for the TEAS. keep in mind that if you retake a course, gwinnett tech AVERAGES the two scores you get (for other schools, they may take your highest attempt). if your gpa is lower than a 4.0, don't stress too badly as you have a chance to get more points by performing well on the TEAS :)

math assessment: gwinnett tech has an extra math assessment and that might seem extremely scary at first, but if you did well on the TEAS math section, you will find this math test simple. just make sure that you know basic algebra and just know how to apply it to the real world.

ATTEND THE INFORMATION SESSIONS!!! i recommend this very strongly for the programs you're interested in as they give out a lot of helpful information. i regret not attending all of the information sessions (the only one i attended was for dms because it was mandatory) as i feel like it would have helped me not be as stressed when trying to choose which program i wanted to commit to.
i also recommend applying to different schools/programs too!! don't put all your eggs in one basket. i personally applied to one other school and it helped ease my anxiety a lot in regards to the possibility that i wouldn't get into gwinnett tech's program. if anyone has any further questions, feel free to either comment or dm me <3

echocardiography vs radiology

hello everyone! i was extremely blessed to be accepted into both radiology and echocardiography programs at my local community college. however, i am extremely torn with what to choose. can any current students/radiology or echocardiography technologists provide me with pros and cons of the program and the job?
i am currently prioritizing the job with the best work/life balance, something that makes pretty good money, and a field that i could still work in if i potentially move out of country (either romania or scotland/ireland).
thank you! :)

gwinnett tech allied health program question

hi everyone!! i'm not sure where exactly to post this but i thought i'd give a shot here lol

i was very blessed to get through the first round of applications for radiology, echocardiography, and cardiovascular tech & i'm still waiting to hear from dms. after this first round, applicants are required to take a math assessment. can any current students or applicants provide me with some insight on what kinds of topics will be on this test? the information session i went to was not very specific and the person i emailed was also very vague. thank you :]

decision deadline when waiting on another school.. what should i do? 🥹

hi everyone! i am extremely blessed to be accepted in a radiology program but unfortunately, i am waiting to hear back from a school that is a lot closer to me. would it be okay to accept provisional acceptance for now and then withdraw later? i am considering emailing the department head as i'm not sure if this is allowed...

i really want to be in this program, but i wouldn't want to decline and not be accepted at my first pick as they have an extra math assessment. i have to decide by this friday for this school and i'm only going to hear back from the other school by the third week of june. what should i do?
