False Reports
Hey, just wanted to make a post regarding some false reports i’ve been seeing pretty often.
A lot of people seem to think that asking anything about an uploaded creator means that it violates Rule 3, “Upload requests belong in the Megathread,” so I am making this post to clarify what actually does.
Whether it’s asking for passwords (which could very well be on the creators page, which is the point of people asking) or asking why certain links aren’t working, neither of these prompt a report.
Posts that violate Rule 3 are ones that sound like: “Can someone update (insert artist name here)?,” or, “This person hasn’t been re-uploaded in a while, can someone update their page?”, or anything adjacent to those two examples.
Someone asking why there’s content missing on a creator’s page, or why links aren’t working, are not violations of Rule 3. They are inquiring to why those things are happening most of the time, not just asking for the archive to be updated.
Falsely reporting posts only make it harder to find the posts that actually do violate the rules, so if possible, when reporting, please make sure it is actually violating Rule 3.
