Finished my first YS game and looking what game to play next

Hello guys, as the title says I finished my first YS game which was Lacrimosa of Dana. I absolutely loved chemistry between characters, combat, whole exploration system and side quests that just added so many more details. I also loved whole lore drop with Wardens of Evolution and whole last chapter. I really want to play in chronological order but I wanted to ask will I have hard time with YS 1 and 2? I am not such a skilled player and does the Steam port have easy difficulty and will I be able to get used to that weird combat system?

Thank you in advance!

Absolutely loved the game. Lots of twist in story and great characters. I loved that there was no world map and there was fast travel. Also loved that dungeons were simple. I am not fan of complicated puzzles. Combat system was my favorite in the franchise so far and I loved Lilium orb grid which reminded me a lot of FFX.

I thought that Alvin's origin and backstory weren't explained well. Maybe I missed some sub event or maybe it is better explained in Milla route (please tell how can I experience this better). Also I noticed that plot of Jude's father wasn't explained. it was briefly mentioned in some sub event on Elympios. Did I miss something? Also I would like that Leia's character was fleshed out a bit more.

From the games I played from the franchise: Arise, Berseria, Xillia, Symphonia, Graces F and Vesperia my ranking would be like this right now:

  1. Berseria

  2. Xillia

  3. Arise

  4. Symphonia

  5. Graces F

  6. Vesperia

I am mostly story driven player so the only one I didn't enjoy was Vesperia because I find it's story a mess after some point. Rest of the games were great.
