Testing the Mitakon Zhongyi 30mm f2.4
I recently got a copy of the Mitakon Zhongyi 30mm f2.4 and have been testing it for my specific use cases(low light suburban landscapes and ripping off Todd Hido). I remember there was some curiosity on here about this lens when it was announced. Well here's some of my test shots. It reminds me a lot of a voigtlander Nokton or a Pentax 67 wide angle. It's not incredibly sharp wide open but sharpens up quickly as it's stopped down. A reasonable amount of vignetting wide open and there is a lot of pin cushion distortion. Overall a welcome addition to the G mount and a great option for anyone who wants that vintage rendering.
