It's not the heaviest 1RM squat out there. Some people even do 315 for their warm-up sets. Some people even bench 315.
But I do not care. That 315 squat is undoubtedly mine. 2nd major PR goal complete! 🦵 🏋♂️

I've been on the road to a 315 squat since I started bulking late last year. I got a 1 rep max of 285 last night and it was as close as I ever got to 100% effort. After re-racking the bar, I literally took a knee for a good few seconds as my body had to take a breather lmao.
30 pounds away! Let's do this!
I've been on the lookout for 617s because I want one to train with consistently and reach a high round count, but I was trying to find a Smith before their quality control tumbled like a telenovela housemaid falling down the stairs.

When I emailed Magnum Research regarding my question about lead ammo, they let me know then that they were making an updated list of recommended ammo (since some ammo was discontinued and some changed the composition of their projectiles).

Desert Eagle L5 .44 Magnum
Hey guys. I got Alumagrips in the mail to replace the stock Hogues on my L5.
The right panel is fitting right in, but the left panel is not going forward enough.
I've removed the grip adapter off the back. What else do I do?
After thinking about it for months and being a maniac that refreshes the tracking info repeatedly, I'm finally the owner of my favorite looking pistol ever!
But I did notice some things immediately when playing around with it..
Also, the safety just digs into your hand awkwardly. I then switched it up by gripping the blank space to the left of the safety. That's actually the part that needs serrations more so than the space below the safety 😅
(I just saw that the L6 and XIX have those serrations and for some odd reason, the L5 doesn't. Huh?)
The stock grip is CHUNK. Jesus 😳 I need to break my grip to reach the mag release. It seems like the thinner Piranha grips are gonna be the one to buy.
The takedown button could have a much better placement 😅 Will definitely have to modify my grip.
Otherwise, I can't wait to take this baby to the range later this month. I got a whole bunch of stuff planned for it too...
My L5 Deagle is on the way and I'm constantly refreshing the shipping label so I can see when it arrives lol.
I'm most likely gonna go with the Piranha Hogue grips, but I've always wanted to have wood on my handguns (can't on my other handguns because they're polymer frame).
That being said, has anyone had wood grips on their Deagle where...
You have good grip?
Is more slim than the default Hogue grips on the stock Deagle?
I had the chance to try a L5 at a LGS and the default panels made the grip just a bit too wide. If I can get wood that's grippy and more narrow than the defaults, I would be one seriously happy camper.
