Many IOT devices are only compatible with 2.4ghz, so far I have been assigning them to be 2.4ghz only in the TP-Link app. Is there an advantage to using the IOT network feature instead?

From my understanding, the BGW320-500 only supports WiFi 6, not 6E (correct me if I’m wrong). If I wanted to make use of WiFi 6E, would I need to purchase a WiFi 7 system and put the original router in pass through mode? Or would the routers limitation prevent the WiFi 7 system from having 6E at all?
