Update on my Custom Whale Works tanning repait; it went wrong somehow.

So like I did a lot to cover my bases: I primed the body, I thinned my paint apps so I wasn’t doing thick layers, I let her dry for days… so when I went to snap her together, she was flaking! Like how?! This infuriated me! Like maybe the joints getting paint on didn’t help when the paint didn’t settle, but why did her flat areas started peeling?!

Ugh this was a mess after weeks of getting supplies, advice, and waiting it out, it just ends up like this.

Transformers: More than Meets the Eye fan animation by Lal Collins

Episode one so far that covers issue one, which is basically a good place as any to give us the best story IDW comics has given fans.

Look if Hasbro doesn’t make a IDW series for people to watch while everyone is still alive, the fans will pick up the tab.

WIP Custom Whale Works body by tanning with Rit Synthetic Dyes. Before and After + Recipe.

So I was inspired to do some characters based on MHA and FGO like Mirko and Caenis to do a dye job with a spare WW body I had because I didn't feel like paying nearly 200$ for a darker skin tone. This was my first time experimenting with dyes so I was worried it was going to be bad or ruin a good figure. Good news is that the dye works for this body and everything seems fine. It could have been better and even on all sides, but I was crunched for time and could only do 1 hour in the dye tub. Still hope to do a bit more work on it, with touching it with matching paint to cover the bad spots and make it all round better. The last few images are the dyes I used and what color recipe I went with. Tried making it more almond than a cream colored. Would like to hear what you guys think before I start part swapping.
