Uber Driver Tried to Kiss Me??

Mods please delete this if this kind of post isn’t allowed.

But basically, what the title says. My uber driver tried to kiss me.

I (24F) was ubering home alone from a club last night around 1am.

My uber driver seemed nice and kept trying to make small talk with me. He asked me if I had a lot to drink, I told him I had “a few” which is why I was ubering. He asked if I was studying/how old I was. I told him i’m 24 and he let me know he was 32. He made a joke that I must have thought he was “old” and I just said “not really haha”. We also talked about a local sports team. The convo felt normal at this point.

Things started getting stranger about 5 mins into the drive. For example; kept trying to get me to hit his vape. At first I would just politely refuse as I am not a vape user, but he wouldn’t quit badgering me. Eventually I finally did so he’d stop asking. (I realize this was probably stupid, but I was a few drinks in. I guess I figured if he had been taking puffs too, it wasn’t laced or anything)

He then asked if I had a boyfriend and I said no (which is true). I could see his demeanor change after that. I quickly fibbed that I have roommates waiting for me at home (I don’t, but I didn’t want him knowing I live alone).

Finally as we were pulling into my apartment complex, he started complimenting my car after I pointed it out to him. (I only referenced my car bc I was telling him where to drop me off). After he dropped me off, he started to drive away but quickly stopped again and rolled down his window. He asked for my phone number.

I didn’t know what to say because I was standing outside alone so I felt obligated to say yes. He wanted me to hand him my phone to put his number in, but that made me feel uncomfortable. So i said i’d give out mine. I was going to tell him the wrong number but he started typing it in the call keypad, like he was gonna call me right there. So I gave him my real number and figured I could just block it if he texted (Which he hasn’t thankfully).

As i started to walk away, again he called after me to ask if he could kiss me. I genuinely was shocked. i think i said something like “not this time. maybe next time” and kinda hurried away.

Should I report this or am I just being overdramatic about a potentially nice person just trying to shoot their shot. His uber account says he has been driving for years and is top rated. I don’t wanna cost someone their job.

Edit for Additional Context:

I am a queer woman. I was leaving the GAY BAR. We talked about how it was a gay bar.

I gave my number because I was drunk and had to factor how to strategize a potential unsafe situation. He asked me this when I was alone at 1 am, in a dark parking lot. I figured I could block his number if he did text, but if he potentially reacted violent to a no, I would be in a bad situation.

Those of you who are accusing me of leading him on, I hope you are never put in a situation like this where you need to make a decision based on immediate safety.

I am not reporting this man as many people in the comments think I led him on. I do not believe I did, but I won’t cost someone their job over an uber ride.

Please provide all advice!

I arrive in 2 weeks and I am staying in a hostel!

I would love to check out the bar scenes but want to be safe. Is the night life generally safe?

Anything worth skipping?

Any and all advice is appreciated
