sacrepublicfc.comUSL Cup Advancement
With tonight being the last group match game, figured I’d post what we need to advance:
USL CUP RULES: In the USL Cup, the first place team of every group advances; the best second place team overall also advances. Tie breakers (within a group): head to head, goal difference, goals for, then goes down the list.
Spokane beat Oakland earlier today, putting them on 9 points; Republic is on 8, and Boise is on 5. Spokane’s win eliminated Boise from advancement.
Republic simply needs a point.
A draw, even with a loss on PK’s, would put them on 9 points and equal with Spokane; however, the first tie breaker is head to head, and Republic beat Spokane earlier in the group stage.
There is a chance of advancement on a loss, provided the loss is only by 1 goal, as Republic’s goal difference is sufficiently high to potentially be the best second place team, but let’s not try and deal with that.
Rhode Island’s Coverage also bewildered by Republic’s ads:

Watch parties for the US vs Australia game on Friday?
Trying to figure out where the watch parties are for Friday's match given it kicks off at 12 - was hoping they'd do Pioneer Square again, but looks like that was only for this last weekend, which is a shame.

quailcitysoccer.comI cleaned out my garage this past weekend and am now attempting to get rid of small car full of broken plastic tubs, shelves, that sort of thing. My garbage/recycle company (Evergreen Disposal) says I can't put it in the recycle bin, and will only take it in the trash if it's broken down enough to fit in a trash bag.
Meanwhile, I tried the dump and they wanted to charge me ***$80*** to get rid of a small car trunk of plastic. That's obscene. Other places I've lived, that would have cost me $20-$30. Does the city want people to illegally dump? I'm trying to find an alternative, and won't be illegally dumping, but at these rates, I can at least understand why people do!
