Record skip crackle and warped?

Just got a new record from my favorite Christian artist and on its first play I noticed it it’s not very flat. It tends to crackle and sometimes skips, is this the actual records fault/do I need to ask for a refund/replacement or is it due to sketching else I need to replace

Edit: I know it’s not the tracking force cause I bought a little scale for it and it reads 1.81g which should be almost perfect

Buying advice

I’m looking to get into vinyl and this Pioneer PL-518 popped up locally for $150. I’m new to turntables, so I’m looking for some advice before I buy.

The seller’s description says:
“Direct drive Pioneer PL-518 turntable with a silver finish. This unit has a clear plastic dust cover, an S-shaped tonearm, and a strobe light for speed monitoring. It includes four additional rubber isolation feet and two center adapters. The base is constructed from a wood-composite material.”

I’m planning to pair it with a Sony STR-DH190 receiver and Polk bookshelf speakers I found for $100 total.

My main concern is that the PL-518 is an older turntable. The seller has photos, but I still need to ask if it’s in good working condition and if I can demo it.

Would you guys recommend the PL-518 over something newer? Is there anything specific I should check for when I go see it? Is $150 a fair price if it works properly?

I can also send the photos from the seller but idk how to post a video and photos on Reddit sorry.
Thanks!
