For context, I live in a house that's literally falling apart. Leaking pipes, mold infiltration into walls and furniture, you name it. And our only line of defense (the front gate) is completely worn out; A slight push is enough to knock it down effortlessly. Most of our relatives are people who work on the engineering/construction camp, yet no one really bothers to actually try to improve our living conditions here, were literally on our own.

For context, I live with my grandmother who is suspected of having dementia, I.E she is in a extremely vulnerable position. Anyone passing by can approach and convince her theyre an acquaintance and enter effortlessly, even those with malicious intent. This cannot only harm her, but us and the rest of our family aswell.

With that in mind, I decided to use of very limited resources to improve the little security we have, for example by adding a few more extra chains to tighten our shaby "padlock" (which is barely an actual padlock like at all) a bit more. Pretty decent reasoning, right?

Apparently, my mother somehow forced herself to be offended by such she even called me a fucking lunatic because apparently, trying to protect myself is a crime apparently. And ISTG, shes so fucking delusional, she genuinely believes that we're completely immune from any form of bad luck, even the possibility of someone breaking into our house (which happened to us not too long ago) and God(s) knows what else. I still love her nonetheless, but holy shit how can someone be this detached from reality? It genuinely baffles me.

TL;DR An ignorant person is not only a danger to themselves, but to everyone around them as well.

As someone that frequents leftists spaces online, ive always seeing some people here and there throwing this word around as a form of offense, and it had always throw me off, like wasnt the entire point that the act of sex is meaningless at the end of the day? So i decided to vent about this for a little.

Now if youre one of these people: stay with me here, and i hope this can change youe mind.

By using the term virgin as a form of insult, you are implying that:

• That sex is indeed a social currency.

• That men's values are indeed tied to their sexual worth and if they fail at that, theyre no "real man".

• That women are prizes for men to conquer which is textbook objectification and dehumanization aswell.

This is the exact same framework that scum ike Fuentes, Fresh & Fit and Tate operates on. The Alt-Right uses of such narratives (Sex Appeal, Sexual Market, PSL, Etc.) to further groom and radicalize young people into their ideologies and use them as disposable drones.

By weaponizing it youre indirectly confirming their narratives, and knowing how opportunistic the Alt-Right thats exactly what they wanted to happen. They WANT leftists to keep using insults like this, they WANT leftists acting irrational, because thatd play exactly into their false-equivalence fallacies.

See how bad it is? Were just feeding the enemy atp.

Not only such insults are extremely unproductive and trivial, but they also fuels really dangerous narratives used by the worst people you could possibly imagine.
