Chose to post this question on a book subreddit because someone who has read the book is more likely to have watched the movie adaptation, than a person who has watched the movie is to have read the book

So what's your opinion which is better the book or the movie??

Have recently started getting into classics so bought more by jane austen (already have p&p) and Madonna in a fur coat is a short classic so that too, I have watched the perks of being a wall flower and have heard people debating whether book is better or the movie so gonna judge for myself since I loved the movie

(lol sorry about the title)

Got this gifted by a friend, he said it was his favourite book, but I don't think I should directly be reading such a big book as my first dosteovsky

I haven't even started reading it yet and it's already cracking,

I thought I'd try that technique people use to ease up the spine before reading but it made the crack worse 😭😭

I'm scared if I read it it'll cause more cracks which are more apparent... I'm scared to open it more than 90°

Which one should I read first considering it will be my 1st ever classic

Just finished this book and oh my gooooood!!! Somebody pls wipe my memory so I could read it again

I got the book just because it was popular (and it was for a reason) and started reading it without knowing anything besides what you could guess from the title of the book (that she had seven husbands.... duh) but goshhh it had everything - love, heartbreak, friendship, longing, scandals, tragedy, twists... You name it. I just want to pick it up and read it all over again

How did you guys like it and what are your reviews (plss hide any spoilers for people who haven't read it, you'd be taking away from their experience)

Ik the other covers of these books are more popular but I loved these covers and harper collins seemed like a more reliable publisher

Looking forward to reading these

Bought the count of monte cristo from bookswagon for 419 on 18th July after the price had gone downn, and since it wasn't available on amazon

Now it's back upto 1200 and still unavailable on Amazon 😭😭

For reference I've kept the picture of Dorian grey beside it, the pages of p&p are too white for a classic as I have multiple other classics too, and the pages are a bit stiff

I bought it from Amazon by cocoblu retailers, I've never gotten anything pirated by them
