Passed S65 (also) just in time for the 4th!

This morning, after only 3 hours of sleep I was able to pass the S65 exam! I didn’t choose to only sleep three hours, but unfortunately my body had different plans…

I’m glad to have this under my belt, and the exam came pretty straightforward for me since I already did the SIE & 63. There was definitely a lot more trick questions, in this exam, and some topics which I don’t remember even going in my studies, but al last I passed.

Big shoutout to Ken Finnen & PassPerfect as usual, both of them were great sources to study.

For practice exams I was scoring between 85%-91%.

Exam took me a hour and a half.

Why do people emphasize the equations so hard?

I’m on chapter 7/9 on PassPerfect and I’ve only come across like 2 equations, for the most part this whole textbook so far has just been review from the SIE & 63 other.

I’m just wondering though, why do people keep stressing the equations so much? Based on what i’ve seen theres about 5 math/solving questions, and it’s a 130 question exam.

Also when do these equations pop up… so far it’s just been stuff like parity price or after-tax bond yield.

Passed the 63, onto the 65, any advice?

Hello, as the post states, I just passed my Series 63 today using PassPerfect, and I just purchased the exam study prep for the 65, and I've purchased an exam slot on FINRA, which I'm yet to schedule.

I was wondering if anyone has any advice on how I can transfer the 63 into the 65.

MGMT406 Vs MGMT455

Has anyone taken MGMT406 with Nataliya Acc-Nikhemar? I’m between that or MGMT455 with S. Gurumurthi.

If I switch to MGMT406, I can avoid having SCM422 from Yavuz Idug which I believe would end up being a pretty difficult class, as I already don’t like the professor, and it doesn’t really relate to my major. I would be able to take SCM418 with Gustavo Del Rivero instead, who I think is probably the best professor on campus.

Passed the 63, onto the 65!

I just passed the 63 and I am now going to be going into the 65!

Any advice on how to best transfer the knowledge from the 63 to the 65?

Here’s my practice exam scores on PassPerfect for the 63 for people who are preparing for the exam.

Passed first attempt!!

I finally took my SIE after about 3 weeks of studying 4/5 days a week for 4-6 hours a day.

I definitely feel I overstudied for this exam, but I don’t regret it at all.

I used pass perfect and I highly recommend reading the textbook instead of just exams as you will risk memorization over comprehension. These questions were a lot simpler than pass perfect which would actually throw you off if you don’t read the textbook.

$100 Gift Rule- or not…

I am currently studying for the SIE exam and will be taking it on Friday. I was sitting and randomly the $100 gift rule came up in my head, I googled to make sure my understanding was correct and I found out that the $100 rule is now $300 according to FINRA.

I’ve been studying with pass perfect, and it still states $100, on the SIE if this question comes up would it be the new updated $300 figure, or the old $100?

SIE Exam in 5 days

I am currently scheduled to take the SIE in person on Friday. I am currently using PassPerfect for my studying, and I've read the entire textbook, and I have been doing practice tests and scoring above 80% on each exam. PP currently estimates that my likelihood of passing is 95%, but I was wondering if anyone has any advice for me. I did hear that the PP exams are more difficult than the actual exam, and I wanted to know the validity of that claim.

I am pretty confident, and I am able to complete these practice exams between 30 and 35 minutes each time, but I notice that sometimes I am slipping up and messing up on obvious questions.

I am about to move on to the randomized exams, but I was wondering what I should do in addition to just taking practice exams and then reviewing the incorrect questions after.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
