IWTL How to study Textbooks

Hey! I have some technical textbooks and I'm trying to self study but I've never really had to do this before. I have been looking at techniques and resources such as Active recall, Anki, desired difficulty, Sq3r but I just don't know how to put it all together and what to do! Does anyone have any suggestions?

Newbie Advice

(most recent photos at the end)

Hey! I'm having some issues.. I'm a first year grower and I have a ghost pepper plant alongside a carolona reaper.

I feel like I have been misdiagnosing the issue (using AI) and have been down several rabbit holes.

The ghost pepper started fruiting early, I looked one day a couple of months ago and there sat 2 chillis that don't even look to have ripened or grow much since it then stopped flowering entirely.

The reaper, has plenty of flowers and maybe 4/5 fruits but drops flowers constantly.

Originally I saw what looked to be spidermites, so sprayed with SB and neem oil. I then got predetory mites, but now looking under the leaves I see some new friends that AI has told me is either thrips or leafhopper nymphs.

Honestly I'm a bit lost, does anyone have any advice on what to do for the rest of the season and what to do next year?

I've come to terms with this year probably isn't going to be great, it's a learning curve and my first year after alll.

Only 2 Chilli's, and stagnated growth

Hey! I'm new to growing chilli's, I have some reapers and Ghost chilli's and they have been doing great until recently. There are two chilli's on the ghost pepper, but 0 on the reaper, there's plenty of pods and flowers but nothing else is occurring. I've been mildly shaking them to try to self pollinate, feeding with chilli focus but still nothing. I feel like I have spider mites so I've ordered some predetory mites and have been spraying with some SB Plant Invigorator (have held off now as the predetory mites arrive soon) it's in a greenhouse outdoors South facing so gets plenty of light, I water it when the top inch is dry and let them run a lil dry before watering.

I really don't know if its mites or not I've put it into ai a few times some say midew other say mite damage, does anyone know what I'm missing?
