Cancelling Guest Res at Behest of Event Organizer
Would any Hilton employees be able to explain how this happens? Hilton Management Services manages the hotel in question. I am not an employee, but I did a cursory 15-minute Google search for answers, and the only loophole I saw for this is if the journalist used a group code for the booking in order to receive a reduced rate on the room. Obviously, I assume that a hotel might appease an event holder for fear of losing the event, which is presumably much more profitable for the hotel.
