I'm looking to see if anyone can help me. I'm not sure if it's relevant or purely coincidental but everything was working fine until I did a one off reboot of my router..here's what's happening:
TV: LG OLED65C5PUA
Bose Smart Soundbar
Orbi mesh network. Wi-Fi 7, model RBE361
Spectrum recently upgraded my neighborhood to fiber. Had some issues, spectrum came by, found dirt on the fiber cable contacts, cleaned them, and said if I had issues, to reboot orbi or the modem.
So one night the image quality was really bad on my TV, I rebooted orbi. After that, the audio cut out from the sound bar. The bass kept playing just fine. The sound from the sound bar made popping sounds like when a person taps on a microphone. It popped 3-5 times.
What I've tried
Unplugged the power from the sound bar, waited a few minutes, plugged back in. Was fine for 45 min to an hour. Until audio cuts off and popping sounds again.
Changed out the HDMI cable. (Along with unplug), 45-60 min later, out.
Rebooted modem and orbi. Same result
Created an IoT network set to 2.4 GHz only, same result.
Factory reset sound bar, deleted from the app, reinstalled. Tried each option for HDMI power and audio in the Bose app. Standby timer has always been set to never.
Set the tv both eArc enabled and disabled. Same
I might be forgetting other solutions I tried. I'm looking to see if anyone else has dealt with a similar issue and has something new I can try
