Unique Issue With SnugglePuppy, TMI Warning

Hi yall, so I need some advice. When we got our male Aussie puppy at 8 weeks old, we got him the famous SnugglePuppy. It helped a TON with his nights and naps, he slept very good, and it truly was doing what it advertised. He absolutely adores his SnugglePuppy.

And wellllll, that's kinda the problem. He loves SnugglePuppy.

At 13 weeks old, he spends more time having affairs with the plush than sleeping. I'm not kidding. Yes I know he is very young, I've done research and apparently it's super common for Aussie puppies. No it is not overstimulation, it is 100% sexual because he ejaculates. I wish I was kidding. I've had to buy so much laundry detergent for his crate blankets, and have had to do laundry every single night as a result. He will spend alot of time humping it, and as a result he wakes up cranky and overtired. Originally we were only having the issue during his naptimes so we took SnugglePuppy out during the day. It was a tiny adjustment but he's been doing good and all seemed to be fixed.

But now, it's happening when he wakes up in the morning. Super cranky, overtired, was a menace on his morning walk, all that stuff. So my question is, should we try removing SnugglePuppy entirely for a while?

Or should we remove it during his 2 AM potty break since thats when he seems to start doing it (he sleeps like the dead from 10 to 2, but then after 2 is when we have realized he's doing it) We don't plan to neuter him until he's at least a year and a half for growth reasons, as well as knowing Aussies can develop aggression issues if neutered too soon. But we don't want to keep dealing with a cranky puppy at 7 in the morning when he should be his most rested during then. We don't even really care if he's humping Snugglepuppy, if it helps him relax and regulate we're not gonna worry too much about that (and would prefer he handles that on Snugglepuppy and not our legs LOL) But when its keeping him from getting enough sleep, that's why it's an issue now.

On a more light hearted note, I'm not sure Snugglepuppy is consenting to these affairs and needs a lawyer ASAP

Upstairs Neighbors Are Destroying Our Mental Health

I am writing this vent out on my back patio, forced out of my own apartment because my upstairs neighbors have been STOMPING and BANGING stuff around nonstop all day and all evening for the past three days. They were loud during quiet hours last night as well. We had a few weeks where we had some peace after the THIRD noise complaint to the apartment manager, but they have gone right back to being disrespectfully loud again for lengthy periods. It's gotten so bad we can't even have company over, because our company literally can't stand the noise and have to leave. I've made multiple noise complaints to the apartment manager about them, and I cannot afford to move until at least Spring.

I will not confront them. I left a note on their door recently about all the toys and trash their kids keep littering on my patio, and though the toys and trash were cleaned up, the mother POUNDED on our door a few days after. When we looked in the peephole, she was all pissed off looking. So we did not answer. On top of all of this, the constant noise is putting a strain on our health. I have a migraine on the daily now, and my wife is so stressed she had a severe asthma attack the other night. I've informed the apartment manager of this as well. I just don't know what to do...I'm so tired of fighting these people, this genuinely is not normal or healthy to live under and it has gone far beyond what's considered 'normal apartment living'. What can we even do at this point when nothing has worked?

Sometimes its Best to let your other neighbors complain about noisy neighbors

I posted here previously venting about my extremely loud upstairs neighbors on the second floor. They have two kids who bang around stuff and stomp all day long (we're talking walls rattling loud) and then they do it during quiet hours (as late as midnight). I was losing my sleep, and losing my mind. I finally caved and reported them to the apartment manager. I was waiting for school to start up again, but the last week it was getting absolutely insane. I should also say, I had overheard my third floor neighbors ranting about the noise as well in the breezeway...this is important.

Well fast forward a few days after my report, suddenly the noise has lessened by ALOT. I mean like, no more noise during quiet hours and even daytime has gotten alot more bearable. I even noticed their kids started playing on their patio outside instead of inside all day. At first, I thought my apartment manager called them. But when I talked to her, she said she hadn't yet and was going to. We agreed to hold off on it and see if the neighbors stay quiet like this, but if it starts up again she will be contacting them.

My personal theory? Third floor people went directly to their door and complained. (ive tried going to their door but they never answered) Because not only are they being quiet now, but you can hear during quiet hours how they walk up there and they're actually putting effort into not stomping insanely loud. It has been absolutely beautiful, and I seriously cannot thank my third floor neighbors enough if it was them who somehow got it to stop. So yeah, sometimes its best to just let other neighbors more willing to confront deal with inconsiderate ones. But I think it just proves how BAD the noise was when even the third floor people are pissed off

New Upstairs Neighbors are Obnoxiously Loud

So I've lived in this apartment for two years, and my luck with upstairs neighbors has been...rough. First one had a ten year old kid who would race across the entire apartment for hours on end, but we couldn't really do anything about it because it wasn't during quiet hours. They moved out, and the new ones were genuinely horrific. Not only did they stomp/bang stuff over my bedroom even during quiet hours as late as 3 AM, but they had an aggressive dog that barked 24/7 and lunged at me in the breezeway. Fortunately, they got evicted after only two months because of not only the noise, but they were not paying their rent the whole time they were there. They wrote my apartment manager a bad check when they first moved in, and from there they just never paid and would literally hide when she tried to contact them.

Well, after they were evicted we got two months of peace and quiet before new people moved in. At first, they were actually REALLY good. Minimal noise, you'd hear walking but that's to be expected in apartments and I've learned to tune that out. Well, fast forward a few weeks after they move in and now the noise has gotten unbearable. It quite literally sounds like an elephant is running around up there for HOURS. They will drop heavy things on the daily that rattles my entire apartment, and there have been a few times they were loud during quiet hours until midnight. (quiet hours is between 10 and 8)

I've tried to be extremely generous, haven't reported them nor have I hit the ceiling with the broom. Well one night, I got fed up. It wasn't quiet hours, but it was late in the evening around 8ish and I was trying to write. Nonstop for two hours straight, they were stomping/banging directly over my bedroom. It legit sounded like either kids were jumping up and down or someone was mad and angrily pacing. It went on nonstop to the point I had a headache so I finally hit the ceiling with my broom for the first time since they moved in.

I know its dickish to do that when its not quiet hours, but I had a pounding headache, it had been going on nonstop, and this was after enduring loudness both during quiet hours and non-quiet hours for weeks. As I'm even making this post, they are stomping around loudly and I'm trying to record it.

I've tried to record the noise prior, but its like they know when I'm recording because I can never catch it, it's super random like that. I should have recorded that night I hit the ceiling because I definitely would have caught that.

But anyway, after I hit the ceiling for the first time, they decided to STOMP twice right back at me. Okay. My plans of knocking on their door and asking if they can quiet down are now out the window because I'm not confronting someone who does that.

But now I don't know what to do. I don't want to be that renter who complains every time people move in upstairs, but I genuinely am exhusated from listening to these people. The killer part is, I can tell when they are normal walking and stomping. So it's not like they are just walking around alot up there, they are purposefully STOMPING. I have been looking desperately for a house rental I can afford, but so far I've had no luck and I'm stuck here in the meantime.

My father in law advised I don't complain to manager as it could 'effect anyone future i rent from' if I make too many complaints, but at the same time I genuinely can't live like this. I've tried to give these people grace, and its only seemed to make it worse. I do not want to confront them in person given how they responded to the broom. Even the previous neighbors who weren't paying their rent and had an aggressive dog never did that!

So what do I do in this situation? I'm just very frustrated and very exhausted

The Raven's Dahlia: Our Upcoming Sapphic Western Series

The Ravens Dahlia

Hello friends! My wife and I are currently approaching the finish of Volume One of our long sapphic western series we have spent the last four years constructing/character and world building as well as planning out the story! It is a massive passion project and our goal is to be self published by the end of this year! The book is going to be heavily focused on the women's perspective of back then, as well as tackling homophobia, racism and other difficult but very real topics. This is an adult series, with both mature and triggering themes. The genres include historical fiction, drama, romance, and old west action/adventure.

Plot: Taking place in the fictional town of Copperdale in Wyoming during the late 1800s, a lesbian, female outlaw named Raven is hiding under the disguise of a bounty hunter and makes it her personal duty to protect the harlots and their Madame that reside in the saloon. This proves challenging though when bodies begin to pile up on the outskirts of the town, left by a mysterious murderer. An elusive gunslinger of terrifying legend that only strikes in the shadows and their next targeted victim; Raven's most favored harlot.

The story will evolve heavily as each new volume releases and take Raven far beyond Copperdale, but this is how our series begins. We plan around 6 or 7 arcs, each arc containing 4 lengthy volumes. The link is to a Card where you can have easy access in following all our social media pages, where we plan to post Teasers, Character Art pieces, and updates on publishing. Teasers will include comic panel pieces and voice acting.

The story is written by both myself and my wife, while my wife digitally will be drawing all art involved including the covers. Absolutely NO AI was used or will ever be used in the making of this series.

If this story sounds like your cup of tea, be sure to follow our pages for updates/teasers and art that will be posted soon! Thank you so much!

What breed is Hagen?

Hagen is a sweet boy we might be adopting from a friend who can no longer take care of him. We have not met him in person yet but that is in the works, our friend has sent us these pictures and we ADORE him already but cannot figure out what breeds he is mixed with! She said he is large sized and a rescue from a shelter. Would love some ideas!
