First time I’ve gotten a free upgrade on a BA flight in 15 years of BA travel.
I’ve been using BA for about 15 years now, consistently been getting silver but never gold except the Covid years. Never got a free upgrade. Didn’t even tell me until I got to the gate and they scanned my original boarding pass. Anyway here’s a pic of my business class meal, Korean style roast beef. Hope for many more.

Street ‘grass’ patch.
Just sharing a previously bare patch in front of my house. About 3 years ago I threw down a seed bomb of wild flowers. Not much grew straight away but I started to get some French marigolds pop up (sadly someone actually dug them out), and this daisy bloom. This year I’ve got a bit of yellow flowers mixed in, some look like dandelions, others are a bit smaller and look star shaped. The blue flowers are also new this year, the bees seem to love them. Somewhere in there is a small rose bush that I planted from my garden cuttings, just waiting to grow up and bloom.
Anyway thought I’d share.

Sunset near Ableside
Hi, as the title says, in staying in Ambleside and I’d love to take a lovely sunset photo. I went down by the waterfront close by but the mountain obscured the view. Whilst it was still nice, wanted to see the sun. Any ideas? The internet is telling me to go to lake Windermere station.
Edit: looking for an easy walk and probably a bus ride. Been a long week of walking. So far the bus to Windermere station seems to be the way to go.
