Where is this relic from a bygone era? RIP RCID
Looks like they missed something when they converted everything to “The District”.

I use the Mister Car Wash unlimited wash plan, and they use RF stickers that go on your windshield to access the wash. Over the last year, I’ve never been able to get the sticker to read on my 25TXT. We’ve tried the usual low on the windshield, high on the windshield, underside of drivers mirror, on the roof rail, on the sunroof - NONE have worked. I even tried disabling the RAB and reverse sensors to see if they were somehow interfering and that didn’t help either.
Does anyone else use Mr Car wash and if so, have you found a place to mount this damn sticker so it opens the gate without the attendant having to come scan the bar code manually??.
Pretty much the title. I ordered a Komo mill, it won’t be here for months but I’m looking for advice and techniques to shorten the curve of having to relearn a bread process.
Is anyone using freshly milled flour? Any particular grain blends that work better than others? Lessons learned or cautionary tales?
Before going into oven for braise, and then when done. Meat looks cooked in the before pic because I gave it a hard sear over a hot charcoal fire before putting in with the rest of the ingredients and braising for a few hours.
Delicious.
There are currently ~275K registered voters in Lake County. ~131K of them are registered republican. Thats fewer than half. The other 144,000 voters in the county will not get to cast a vote for the county commission seat currently held by Sean Parks. The reason: Sean wants it that way.
We have a primary election for county commissioners, where each party votes for who their candidate will be in the general election. The problem is, that when one party doesn’t /have/ a candidate, then whoever wins the primary for the other party basically wins the general by default - as they’ll be unopposed. When this happens, voters from all parties get to vote in the contested primary, because that primary is effectively deciding who gets the seat. Except there’s a loophole, and Sean Parks loves to use it.
It’s the old “write-in” game, where someone files (usually a friend/supporter of one of the candidates) to be a write in candidate, which closes the primary election. The legal basis is that the presence of a write in candidate technically represents a challenger in the general election, and therefore the primary should be limited to only voters of the listed party. Even if that write in candidate isn’t a serious candidate, raises not a single dollar, and does zero campaigning, their mere presence on the roster locks out over half the voters.
Sean Parks has employed this technique every time he’s been up for election, and he’s done it again this time. Why is he so afraid of letting the entirety of Lake county cast a vote for or against his track record? Instead, he alienates over half the county. Is it legal? Yes. Is it dirty? Also yes. But that’s how Sean rolls.
The 2026 primary election is about 4 months away, and Sean Parks is sporting over $92,000 in monetary and like kind donations against barely $3100 in expenses. His war chest is stacked with $1000 (max allowed) donations from a laundry list of development affiliated entities and individuals. Click to review the roster for yourselves.
This guy has sold out south lake for 20 years, and it’s time for him to go. He speaks out of both sides of his mouth, promoting smart, limited growth while actually supporting, voting for and promoting widespread urban sprawl.
Be smart, Lake County. Do your homework, and let’s find an alternative to fire this guy!
