iPad Recommendation for 3 camera Mevo Setup
So, my church decided to get the Mevo set up with 3 cameras. I first tried running it using a cheaper $250 android tablet and that was a disaster with poor performance and overheating warnings before even getting out of the lab test environment (my dining room). Next up was with a Samsung Chromebook that I thought would be up to the challenge as it had an I5 intel processor. On-site test 1 revealed network bandwidth issues with severe digital artifactIng and complete freezes and dropouts. I installed an access point in the sanctuary and conducted on-site test 2 today. I'm getting closer. Now I see performance issues - substantial skipped frames - which I attribute to a video encoding shortfall on the Chromebook?
So, I think my next step is to get a decently equipped iPad. If I'm not mistaken, the software is optimized for IOS anyway. But, we're a church, so an M4 iPad isn't going to be in the cards, What's a well suited iPad configuration that will handily work with a 3-camera Mevo setup? Will the A series of CPUs do the job? A16 for instance? I also realize I c an gain some performance by dropping to 720p which I have yet to test. My current testing is with the 1080p option (not the highest, the one below).
