Coming in for my warcrimes run.
First jump of Sector 2 and a second Anti-Bio Beam has been acquired from an equipment drop. Slug perfidy FTW 🐌
Update: photo 2 was the next jump and I have enough weapons to beat the Flagship. Good times!

Thanks to a friend's recent GenCon booty haul*, I have come into the possession of a couple of Mechs from the latest Catalyst Game Labs BattleTech Grinder Miniatures Tray.
What piqued my interest was the Dire Wolf and Timber Wolf models who are both listed as being from the new Clan Battle Star, a Force Pack which in turn contains the OmniMechs originally included in the Clan Invasion boxed set. However, a comparison of these with the originals shows otherwise - see the photos, Grinders are tan, original Clan invasion are grey.
The Dire Wolf (Daishi) has adopted a more menacing nose-down poise, and its arms have been adjusted, tightening up the elbow angle and normalising the attitude in the yaw axis. The original "air-sniffer" pose is quite noticeably different.
The Timber Wolf (Mad Cat) does likewise poise-wise, with a nose down attitude. To add to the variance, the missile packs are the dozen-tube variety seen in one (?) of the Force Pack versions and not the 20-tube version in the Battle Star.
Thought this might be of interest as these don't specifically seem to be advertised as reposes. I've not had a chance to look at the rest of the models in the 2026 Grinder Box, but will do and see if there are any other such re-posed models.

(I'm so sorry All Saints)
In all my many games of FTL, this is the first time I've seen these 3 in the shop together. I suppose the next challenge tier is to get them all presented in order I-III.
It was always a good design, but thanks to the new BattleTech Core Box everyone's favourite 'Temu Timber Wolf' the Rakshasa gets a new variant that's a force to be reckoned with.
It's a bit under-sinked and normally I'm not keen on such sweaty designs, but given the heowge engagement range it doesn't matter.
I wonder if this makes Clan Wolf madder than the Mad Cat III?
It had to happen eventually, the paired Engi boarding team. It didn't end well for team red 😆
While technically a heavy scout, the Stealth STH-1D makes for a very effective assassin Mech, in this instance taking a Sword of Light Atlas AS7-K down in 2 turns of rear-arc attacks.
The lasers and punches got through the torso armour allowing the SRMs to set off a chain detonation of the missile ammo bins, knocking the 100-tonner's engine out.
Seen a couple of posts of this chitinous follower of Slaanesh here today and it reminded me the figure was featured in a gallery within Realm of Chaos: Slaves to Darkness (1988) and I thought I'd share the image.
What a cool miniature, and a funny name to boot.
