First win!

First win!

A friend and I bagged our first win playing full co-op. Everything must have been going right, it felt way easier than other games we've have. Delighted, what a buzz

Mage Knight solo conquest second attempt

Man this game is HARD. I had 14 cards in my hand going into the second city and I still couldn't beat the last guy. Damn Altem Guardian. I didn't get knocked out but it was my final turn on the final round so game over. I realise I made a rules mistake with the 2 adjacent tile rule for core tile explorations. Absolutely loving this game. I know it's not recommended but some friends and I are going to play a 4p co-op conquest tomorrow and I think it will be fun. (We'll use an online dummy player tool.) Runebound 3e is another game that isn't recommended at its max player player count of 4p and we played a 6p and it was awesome!

Just lost my first solo conquest 🙏🏻

Finally got Mage Knight a few days ago, played through first reconnaissance and now attempted solo conquest. Managed to take the first city but ran out of cards on the last turn of the last round when trying to take the second city. I think I dallied too much in the first half rather than trying to flip tiles. Felt powerful at the end. Looking forward to the next one, any tips appreciated. Great game.

Just played Many Minds for the first time. Wow!

Either I was doing something wrong or this spirit is crazy powerful. I smashed the invaders with seven cards still in the invader deck. You can be everywhere at once, stopping builds/ravages, mad defense, mad fear generation and leading the dahan around to wreck the invaders. That was great. That's Many Minds and Lure ticked off. Which spirit next?

EDIT: I definitely did something wrong. I totally forgot about the event deck! I played base game with a friend yesterday without events/tokens so I'm blaming that... And tiredness... And dumb.

Looks like I'm playing Many Minds next to redeem a hollow victory.

First game of Jagged Earth

Absolutely smashed the invaders with Lure of the Deep Wilderness! With some initial AP trying to figure out the new spirit and mechanics (only played B&C twice before this) I thought I was struggling in the beginning but before I knew it the invaders were toast! Lure seems like a cool spirit.

What are your favourite Jagged Earth spirits and which one should I try next?

I did something dumb but I'm taking the win

I just got Branch & Claw and played my first game of it today with Fangs at 0 difficulty. I was struggling with getting presence out but I managed to get a victory. Then I realised I had played three cards on my second to last turn when my bottom track was only at two cards. I was bummed out because it didn't really count.

I then realised after the game that on Fangs growth options it tells you to CHOOSE TWO! I'd played the full game using one growth option per turn! No wonder I was struggling with presence. I think that makes up for my illegal use of three cards so yes as the title says, I'm taking the W.

The photo is my board at the end of the game.
