Anyone been solely on Mounjaro and then switched to Wegovy as a maintenance tool?

Afternoon all. I’m close to goal and have been reading maintenance stories. I’m now really worried about coming off Mounjaro which I plan to taper down. Currently on 7.5 mg. I don’t want the monthly cost forever, so my plan was to stop but I’m worried about regaining the weight. Was wondering about switching to Wegovy as a maintenance tool as this is cheaper. Has anyone done this and what is the cost of Wegovy?

Stay on 5 mg or move up?

I jab on a Saturday. The last two Fridays, I have been pretty hungry. Today I have eaten a lot of carbs as a result. I have been on 5 mg 6 weeks, so tomorrow will be 7th jab of 5 mg and next week, the last of that pen. I had hoped to stay on 5mg for the rest of my journey. 8.5 kg to goal weight, 13 kg lost so far since mid-April. I do just want to get that last bit off and worried doing another 4 weeks of 5 mg will slow me right down. Last weeks loss 250 g, previous week loss 1.4 kg and week before that 300 g. So in last three weeks, just under 2kg. Advice please?

How to keep up my progress when autumn/winter comes

I started running 6.5 years ago and really enjoyed it. Did couch to 5 km etc at the time. Then Covid came along and life got crap and I stopped running and started drinking a lot, quite regularly. Put on weight etc. Every time I drove past a runner, I thought of how I missed it and vowed to get back to it. This May I restarted couch to 5 km and ‘graduated’ two weeks ago. It has felt so good to be back running. I’ve massively cut back on my drinking, only having a little every couple of weeks or so. Have lost two stone, not through running alone. I’ve really enjoyed getting out early and running in the nice weather but I’m already starting to worry about how I will run when it gets to Autumn/Winter. What has worked for everyone? Running early when it’s colder and icier or getting out after work? I prefer to exercise first thing so I can’t cop out if I’m tired after a day at work.

Strength training?

Morning all. After some advice. I’m on week 10 and have lost 10kg. My subcutaneous fat is not really reducing despite losing weight. When asking google it says to incorporate strength training so as to build muscle and burn fat. I’m doing couch to 5k but no other exercise. I wanted to wait until I got near my goal as I don’t want the scales to show less weight loss due to muscle gain. What is everyone else doing and those who are doing strength training, how has your weight loss journey been?

Weight same for two weeks

I know weight loss isn’t linear. I just need some words of encouragement. My weight hasn’t moved in two weeks and I haven’t lost inches. I’ve had the odd treat but nothing that over the week would take my calories for the week over where I would maintain. I am also on week 5 of couch to 5 k, so have upped my exercise. I currently weigh 75.75 kg and probably haven’t been this weight in at least a few years. Is it possible my body thinks this is the lowest weight it can be and will only let go of more weight later? Currently on 2.5 MJ which I’ve done for 8 weeks. Starting 5 mg tomorrow. Please tell me it will start to shift soon?! P.S I have lost 7.6 kg so far which was over 6 weeks, and then nothing for two weeks.

Time to move up to 5 mg?

I’ve been on MJ for almost 8 weeks on 2.5 mg so far. 8th jab this coming Saturday. I’ve lost about 16.5 lbs. My intention was to stay on 2.5 as I’ve had no side effects and have been happy with loss. Today I have been really hungry and want to let loose at an all you can eat buffet 😂 Is it time to move up or should I order 2.5 mg again for the next four weeks and see how I get on?

Sometimes bleed and bruise?

As the title says, sometimes my injection site bleeds and gets a bruise, and other times, nothing! Any idea why this happens? Am I doing something wrong?

Best time to jab for alcohol craving suppression?

My hubby is starting MJ mostly to lost weight but also to support reducing his alcohol intake. Would Wed or Thu night be better do you think?

Weight stuck

I’ve been on MJ just over three weeks and have lost 10lbs. Did my fourth jab on Saturday weighing 78.7 kg. I am one of those people who weigh daily so I can get the encouragement with small incremental losses. On Sunday I was 78.9 kg. And there I have stayed. I’m eating the same foods, no cheating, went for an hour walk on Sunday and did Week 1 Day 1 of couch to 5 k yesterday. Is this normal?

Still looking overweight

Does anyone else feel slimmer and then catch your reflection in the mirror and then feel despondent because you are still overweight and have a long way to go? 😞

Small dose left in Kwikpen

I’m on 2.5 mg and just done my 4th jab. I will be staying on 2.5 mg for the next four weeks as I am losing well and have no side effects. I have a little dose left in my Kwikpen, not sure how much, but maybe half? I have a spare needle and wondered if rather than letting it go to waste, whether I should inject this half way through the week to give me a boost?

Just tried to register with Bolt. Says I’m not eligible?! BMI of 28 and already on 2.5 mg with another provider. Only other meds I take is 5 mg of meds for high BP. Any ideas??! No other medical issues

Morning all. I’m in my first four weeks of being on MJ. I’m always keen to save money where I can, and I have noticed that a lot of providers offer money off for first purchases. Is it ok to switch multiple times between providers without disrupting my supply or causing any other potential issues? I’m currently with MedExpress and will be taking my fourth dose this weekend but considering other options to reduce my costs. Any advice welcomed 😊
