Those who are required to change into hospital scrubs before work: is it supposed to be paid?

As in the title, for us OR workers, if you're required to be ready to go for morning report at 7am in hospital provided scrubs, is that time that you're spending changing supposed to be paid?

Currently we arrive 10 or so minutes early to get changed and start work and pay at 0700, and if you're changing after 0700 you're considered late.

Alberta labour law seems vague, but from what I can tell you're supposed to be paid if you're required to change into specific clothes on location.

Can anyone familiar with UNA or Alberta labor law chime in?

Best way to go about tiling behind our sink?

Hey guys! I'm wondering about the best way to go about tiling behind our sink here.

I've never tiled anything before, and I'm pretty sure I can't just tile directly on to this stained/finished wood. I included a side picture to show that it's not laminated or anything, it appears to be a solid piece of wood. Maybe I can though with proper prep? Or maybe I don't need to prep anything aside from clean it?

I also don't know if there's a specific type of grout I should use, and if I'll need any special tools.

Any advice is welcomed and appreciated.

Help. Persistent worsening rash around nostrils, spreading down smile lines.

History of: psoriasis

Medications: Vyvanse, sporadic Clobetasol propionate on scalp, calcipotriene on inverse spots.

Our first kid started daycare and we proceeded to all be sick with every virus you could think of for around 3 months straight.

I developed a little rash from my runny nose, blowing it all the time. I tried to keep the skin hydrated and protected but clearly it didn't work.

Fast forward, we have been well for over 2 months now, but I've had this slowly worsening, growing, and spreading rash around my nostrils. It burns with moisturizers and itches when dry. There's a lot of flaking and peeling. Sometimes I almost get it cleared up and then it worsens again. I've tried hyaluronic acid, lubriderm, diaper rash cream, aquaphor, and Carmex.

Yesterday I noticed a couple tiny pustules had formed. There's no yellow crusting or anything like that. It doesn't seem to respond to bacitracin. I've tried diaper rash cream, and now I'm trying no soap no moisturizer no topicals. This is the result.

Closest thing I can find that resembles it is perioral dermatitis.

I'm trying to clear it at home because I don't really want to be put on antibiotics for a really long time, but obviously if there's nothing else I can do I will.

Any advice? Do you think it's perioral dermatitis or something else?
