Hesitant to go with a Danish first name as a white girl
We’re having our first baby in a few months and finding a name for her has been quite tricky, to say the least.
My husband is Danish, as in, he’s from Denmark. He’s got a very Danish first and last name (as does the rest of his family ofc), and he’d like our daughter to have a Danish name too—but I don’t know; I just feel like I’m too damn white. I’d love to give her an ultra-Danish middle name though! Or three!
For example, I suggested Christine Margrethe Nielsine Karen. He thinks it’s OK, but he’d rather go with the Danish version, which is Kirsten. Am I overthinking this?
