Side by Side Comparison - Twigz from Canada vs Dot's from the US.

I sit here in the courtyard by Marriott maple hill Pennsylvania on a work trip. Bored and wondering what to do my evening. I have to be presentable tomorrow so the hotel bar is off the tables, so what better way to do it then eat garbage. Wawa's provides me with my favorite snack. Pretzels. I realize these are the same as my favorite air canada snack, Twigz I quickly realize i still have the Canadian equivalent in my bag. Its time to compare.

Quick notes, the small bag is an AC exclusive. The TWIGZ you buy in the store, are bigger and more of a direct visual look to the Dot's. I assume this is for space reasons. These things are absolutely deadly, and Air Canada adding them to the line up is one of their best decisions. I fly air Canada a ton and I will eat mutiple bags every trip.

At a glance, size differences aside, visually they are similar. Its tough to say what the main difference but the flavoring on the TWIGZ looks more pronounced. The twisting/rifling of the stick is also pretty even. It would be hard to tell them apart if they were the same length.

Nutritional facts point toward the TWIGZ being a little "better". There is less salt and fats. I wonder if this impacts the flavor.

It does. Immediately I can tell that the Dot's version is saltier. And has a slightly "deeper" taste. That being said, the TWIGZ have a more pronounced garlic. The actual advertised flavor is better on the twigz, but the salt and fat come out more on the Dot's.

Texture wise, the dot's have a much better crunch. The TWIGZ are softer, maybe that was the plane, but its very distinct.

All in all, they are extremely compatible, and accomplish the same job. If you like crunchier and saltier, the dot's win. If you like softer and a better advertised flavor, get the twigz. Or, get the one avaliable if your country because from what I can tell, they dont cross the borders. This may be the world's first consumer based dirct comparison.

Thank you for coming to my pretzel talk.

Pre-facing by saying that I've ran a few rusfor kits over the years, and while im not looking to do a few impressions, most of my kits are just things I've pulled from photos of folks, and I've combined them into stuff that works for me. Some of this stuff is stuff that these guys wont have ran, but its fits the role I need it for.

Photo above is what I wore last weekend, and I get that its kind of mix between modern FSB and various SSO units. Based on what you see here, where would you suggest I move the kit to make it look more cohesive? More towards FSB or SSO? Some equipment that I have thats not on this picture is:

-Multicam UFO pro Set

-Brown Green UF Pro Set

-Black defender 2

-altyn

-2 colour (standard?) Gorka

-vympel coveralls

-plate bags for the mk2 chest rig

-UR tactical IPC in atacs ix

-MICH style surplus helmet with MC cover

What's on me:

-TPC Top and pants

-TPC Hat

-Sordins

-TT Chest Rig MK2

-HSGI belt with various pouches

-Carcajou Tactical Badger Hood

Let me know what you think and what direction you think I should head next
