Disappointed with snagger, should we bother hiring for a 2nd snag?
Wasn’t impressed with our initial snag, good few obvious marks and scraps missed. Only 2-3 items caught that we wouldn’t have. List was just bullet points. We spent 2 evenings ourselves editing the list, adding our own snags, and adding pictures. Felt like we did the majority of the work.
But the big issue I had, was he said they “check floors” and he literally eyeballed it. We had a laser lever to check a full room and it looked way off to me. He claimed he “usually has a straight edge to check floor levels” but didn’t have that on the day. So what are we paying for? Called up the foreman and they were of course immediately defensive. Our snagger didn’t even try push back, we had to.
I complained about this after snag and he did apologise and attempted to return to check level but denied access.
My question is, now that we’ve been called for our 2nd snag, do we bother hiring this guy again, get someone else, or just go in ourselves.
