Recommendations for Replacing Rotors & Brake Pads?

Went to Volvo this week in NYC and they quoted me $5K to replace my brake pads, rotors and brake fluid. This seems like an extremely high cost for replacement after the car has just over 30K miles.

Overall, this is my 3rd Volvo and this seems to be a regular occurrence with replacement after seemingly low mileage. The only difference now is, I own this Volvo XC40 but I leased my previous XC60 and XC90. So in those cases I just let the lease run out and had them pay for it when i returned it.

Anyone have similar experiences and more importantly suggestions on replacing these components elsewhere and/or with more durable non genuine Volvo parts?

She's ready to find her forever family and get all the love she deserves. Currently also living with a dog and has been tolerant so possibly long term dog friendly too.
