welp never moving again I guess
I mean my foot is asleep too so I couldn't get up and walk even if I wanted to.

I've been asking the Feedly support team for this incredibly basic accessibility functionality for forever and was the sole reason I stuck with Classic. I open a post that has an image in it, I want to pinch to zoom in. Classic did it. Netnewswire does it. Every single app on a mobile device should support this.
I could dig up Twitter and Bluesky exchanges I've had with Feedly support for years where I've asked for it and been told some PFO response of "we'll look into it" but apparently accessibility isn't something Feedly cares about.
I'm invited to a wedding at Coconut Bay in November, my wife and I will be going down. We don't have kids, but CBay only has rooms in the Splash (family-friendly) side available the week we're there. I've never been to an all-inclusive before but I can't think of a better way to have a bad time at one than be surrounded by screaming children at the pool all day.
Is the Splash side as bad as I think it could be on that front? It's school season so I don't know how many kids would actually be there but again, I'm no expert.
Ten seconds before tucking into this pile of cilantro I watched Coolwhip (yes, pronounced like you just said it in your head) fly up to the corner of the room and eat a spider.
As a severe arachnophobe myself I appreciated his protective work. Extra millet for this boy tonight.
Coolwhip (yes, pronounced like you just said it in your head) always responds when I "flock call" whistle to him, he was rooting around in one of his foraging boxes and was at the perfect angle to catch him popping his little head up to chirp back every time. This actually went on for about 5 minutes straight. He is so dumb and lovable and perfect it makes my heart hurt.
Context: I have a full-time, salaried job. However, on the side I'm also spinning up a small software label where I plan on marketing and creating some applications, basically trying to see if I can make a bit of cash on the side selling some software I've written. It may make $0, it may pull in a few grand a year, I have no idea and am definitely not banking on it exploding and replacing my day job by any stretch. That said, there are going to be some costs involved in setting this up (software licenses, hardware needs, etc.) and boy howdy would it be nice to have the ability to write off those expenses.
A few years ago I worked as a full time contractor and had set up a sole proprietorship and the money I saved by doing that and being able to write off costs for a whole bunch of things was not insignificant, but I was also making a full-time salary equivalent from it. In the case of a small side gig like this, would a sole proprietorship still be a legitimate option? I'm not going to do something stupid and write off the purchase of a brand new TV and sound system because "I watch tutorials on it" but is there any reason not to set one up and start writing these costs off?
If it matters, I live in Nova Scotia.
All my kids need is some millet and they're happy all day long.
YOU'RE EATING HAIR
Coolwhip has been doing this for 20 minutes, apparently everything is a toy when you have dryer lint where your brain is supposed to be.
Coolwhip will often walk back and forth across my hand like this, occasionally nibbling on my fingernails. He's never dropped down to "assume the position" but I'm not sure if that's what he's trying to do and just looking for the right spot or if he's just genuinely wandering back and forth looking for the brain cell. Is this a reset-the-counter moment or something else?
