Fable (1996)

Has anyone played the point and click game Fable from 1996? I've been playing it on stream and once you get past some of the interface design issues, it is a very cool game. The pixel games look great, the voice acting is decent, the sound is good, the puzzles are what you expect from the era and remind me of Space Quest style puzzles (in the sense that they generally are direct reactions to problems instead of having to work around problems). If you haven't played it and you are looking for something new, maybe check it out.

Terraforming Mars Automa App

I made this application back when Terraforming Mars Automa was released as I was excited to have a way to play the game single player in more than the standard solo rules. The app tries its best to stick to the rules, but it cannot do everything, for example, the bot is using its own deck of the cards to make things less complicated. It will perform a pseudo draft when needed from some of the corporations to ensure it sees the correct number of cards that it is meant to see. Otherwise, colonies, the turmoil board, and Venus are all included (and can be turn on or off) in this application. As long as you tell the bot what you are doing with the interactive components (where you place tiles, how you interact the colonies, when you raise parameters, and where you place delegates), it will handle everything and let you know when you need to do something.

PS: This was made without the use of AI in any way. I made it back in 2024 and I saw a post about AI applications, and I wanted to release something that I had spent 4+ months on without any AI assistance.

Nancy Drew Games

I just started playing "Nancy Drew: The Silent Spy" and, so far, it has been a super enjoyable game. This is the third Nancy Drew games that I've played, and they have all been pretty fun. Playing the game on the "master" difficultly allows you to explore and solve the puzzles figuring out what you should do each step of the way without feeling like you are being told exactly what to do.

Have you played these games and what are some of your favorites in this series?
