The Gaslighting Leaguemate: An Odyssey

Shortly after our rookie draft, we had someone drop out of the league, so I created a new draft just so I could open it to the public and see if anyone wanted to join. Shortly after that, I had one of my league mates send me this trade. This is the conversation that ensued. (+1 TEP btw)

Swing for the fences, aim lower, or stay the course?

I took over this orphan team this offseason that somehow had the 1.01, probably mostly from injuries but I also heard the previous manager was not very active. I think this team is a contender, and I'm considering making this offer because of the crazy burden hype, but I'm trying to figure out what would be the best move for me.

First of all, would this offer have a chance of being accepted?

Second, I feel like there's a good chance my team is competitive without making this move, so do I stay the course?

Or third, do I still try and cash in on the burden hype but try and aim a little lower than chase, maybe someone like CD, ARSB, or London?

I'm hesitant to mortgage my entire future for Chase, but sometimes that's what you have to do to become a champ.

My other QBs are Dart, Mayfield, Watson so I don't really need an upgrade, but I do like Goff over Murray. Chase, Nabers, Brown are other WRs.

I'm hesitant because I honestly just don't really like Pickens. I can't even explain why, just gives me bad vibes for some reason. Which side of this do you like for immediate value or long term upside?

This is the offer I got for the 1.07. I was planning on targeting Price with the pick. Pierce feels like good value but I'm wondering if I should be targeting an RB instead. Skat or Monangai are the two I would be interested in on his team. Otherwise I could try and ask for Brooks or White as a throw in.

Do you think I should ask for more, or just take this offer?
