Why are there no surnames based on modern occupations?

Surnames based on occupations have been around for over hundreds of years, yet at some point they stopped and most people use the same ones like Smith, Cooper, Miller, Carter, etc.

If we did the same thing in today’s era, we’d have names like:

John Programmer
Sarah Electrician
Michael Pilot
Emily Barista
David Plumber
Robert Rancher
Jane Designer

I’m looking the video where Asmongold pans over India on a map asking “Where’s France”?

I can’t remember which video it was though it was made I think like in the last 3 months. He pulls up a map asking where’s France while scrolling away from Europe and panning over India and saying, “There it is!”. He and the chat bursted out laughing.

The chat then said that’s not France and pointed him over Somalia and they said “there’s France!”
