Why is it always all in the eyes pre to post transition lol

u/The_Nintix — 2 days ago

It's been a minute c:

It's kinda wierd that's it's not weird at all that I'm living life as myself all the time these days. I thought it'd take a lot longer to sift through all of the repression, but I'm honestly just chilling here less than two years in, just doing it.

It's also wierd how so much about what I do, and who I am is different, but also how much is still the same. I still like a lot of what I liked, but now I get to like a lot more stuff without feeling guilty. I still dislike what I dislike, but I have so much more confidence and conviction in my beliefs, and who I am, and I can actually stand up against what I feel is wrong.

The biggest difference by far though, is definitely the want to just live life to it's fullest. No more letting life just drag me along. No more being okay with not putting in effort. I have the will and the want to be the best version of me that I can be now, and holy heck am I going to be going and getting what I want from now on.

Big plans ahead! Leaving my job to mess around a little before finding a career I enjoy! Moving in with my wonderful girlfriend! Starting some new hobbies that will let me express myself properly! And probably an ungodly amount of Minecraft!

I hope you all are doing as well as you can be right now 💕 This community feels more special to me than any other on Reddit that I post on or interact with. I honestly don't think I'd have taken the leap on hrt if it hadn't been for people here being so lovely and encouraging xx

Almost two years of getting to just be me

I'm a couple months away from my second hrt anniversary. Transitioning absolutely saved my life. It gave me a want to be better, and do better, not because others expected it, but because I wanted it for me. I do my best to make good choices that take me closer to the life I want to live now, instead of being resigned to living a life I hated. Still a few bumps in the road ahead, but I can see some pretty smooth sailing for a while after I deal with those.

10/10 would estrogen again

(Also ty all for being kind to my silly brainworm head the other day xx)

Just under 2 years on hrt (:

31 years old, started in October 2024. I still have brainworms occasionally but I'm so grateful for what hrt has done for me. Still considering some light ffs but I'll probably give it more time before I commit to that.

My eyes look so bright now c:

Is my side profile as clockable as I feel like it is or do I have brainworms?

My partner tells me I pass, but I feel like from the side my nose and maybe my hairline are easy to pick out. Also a very tall girl at 6'3", so that doesn't help lol.

Edit: Thank you all for the nice comments and the reassurance xx Sometimes my brain goes brrrrr, and I guess that'll probably happen occasionally no matter how far through transition I get 😅

Trying to stay loud and proud 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

This year's had a lot of good so far, but honestly the bad has gotten to me a lot worse than I thought it would.

I very much considered deleting my account on here a couple of weeks or so ago, along with the rest of my socials. Between the amount of hate I've seen online, the nasty comments and DMs I've gotten, having posts stolen and shared and made fun of, and being assaulted irl, it's all been a bit much.

I've had a few pretty nasty panic attacks over the last few months, and not turning back to substance abuse has been a challenge. I have good support though, more now than I've ever had, and both online and irl. Including the most amazing girlfriend that I've somehow managed to convince to listen to me ramble about dinosaurs and One Piece for hours on end lol.

I've deleted my last few posts because I'm a bit scared of being seen at this point. But I think that maybe being seen, being loud, showing that I can stand my ground, is all important. At least it's important to me. I'm not sure I'm built to handle all the negativity getting thrown at our community right now, but I guess I'm also stubborn and stupid enough to keep putting myself out there.

Idk, I'm going to just keep on keeping on and I hope the rest of you do too xx

I need some reassurance about the whole SDA thing happening

I've been trying not to make a post, but my head's running away with all the worst case scenarios a bit too much. I haven't really slept at all over the last few days, and I'm hoping some people who know more than me can offer some kind of reassurance that this amendment to the Sex Discrimination Act won't go through, so I can maybe relax enough to get a few hours.

I'm trying to tell myself that we have good support in good places in the government, and that that will help, but I can't stop looking at how the US and UK have gone.

Sorry to bring my fears here, I try hard not to feed into anyone else's worries, but I'm a bit far gone right now, and ya girl can't see her therapist for a good month yet.

Here's to 31 🎉 (17m hrt)

I've been a bit iffy about posting anything again, after my last post getting stolen and reposted on Facebook. Especially given the negative tone most of the comments took. I may end up deleting this one, but I'll see. The lovely person who made me aware of my post getting stolen encouraged me to keep posting.

It's been wierd coming into my thirties. I buried my entire self throughout my twenties, underneath a few substances, and a cozy blanket of self isolation and self loathing. I've had quite a series of experiences over the last year and a half. Some good, some bad. I've learned a lot about myself, about the world, and about people. Most of all, I've done a lot of figuring out on who I am, and what I really want out of life.

I've had just about 2 years of healing and growth (and so, so, so much therapy 😅), and I'm really starting to feel ready to take on life and get what I really want out of it. As per all my previous posts, I still have a long way to go, but every time I look back at where I was, I can see just how absurdly far I've come, and that motivates me to keep on learning how to thrive.

This birthday has been another milestone that I know I'll be able to look back on in a year's time, and I know I'll be a lot more of who I want to be, and doing a lot more of what I want to do when I do look back.
