Gujarat: AMC collects Rs 8.39 lakh in week-long encroachment drive across Ahmedabad

I have mixed feelings regarding this.

Sometimes when I’m stuck in traffic because of these dabaan, I get angry like, "haan haan kem nai baapa nu road chhe ne". But then, watching some of them standing in this heat, working hard and earning just to feed their kids… I start feeling guilty for being angry.

This makes me question myself as a human. What am I? How am I?

Hmm, I know I overthink, but how many of you feel the same way?

Food at KOMO BY KAFFA!

Recently went for dinner at KOMO by KAFFA. I’m usually not into fancy cafes, Western cuisine, or those too damn aesthetic places with artificial vibes, but this place honestly felt different from the usual crowd.

The atmosphere was surprisingly calm and peaceful. No chaos or loud crowd, and even the staff interaction was smooth throughout the 1.5 hours we spent there. The vibe was actually better than most cafes I’ve been to in Ahmedabad.

As for the food, I’m probably not the best person to review it 😅, but let’s say it was decent and enjoyable, except for the Classic Cheese Fondue. That one didn’t really work for us. We also ordered a pizza (which was 7/10), but before I could even take a proper picture, one of my friends had already finished half of it. 💀

One dish everyone genuinely liked was this Mexican sizzler-type thing (I was like, "Alya, dafod, aa to videshi rajma chawal chhe"). Forgot the exact name, but it was probably the best thing we ordered.

But honestly, I still prefer those old Ahmedabad-style restaurants and famous food stalls playing 80s-90s Bollywood songs, where the interaction with the owners feels personal. I genuinely enjoy listening to their stories, how they once started serving food on the streets of Ahmedabad and slowly built what they have today. That’s the kind of Ahmedabad that makes me feel comfortable and connected.

If you guys know places in Amdavad with that kind of vibe, please share :)

Why is my first Medium article not showing up on Google yet?

Hey everyone,

I published my first ever Medium article 5 days ago. I spent hours researching it properly because the topic was very specific and something I genuinely cared about. But till now, I can’t find either my article or even my Medium profile on Google.

I know 5 days probably sounds very little to experienced writers here, but honestly, it kind of messed with my confidence. I was super excited when I published it, and now I keep checking Google every few hours wondering if I did something wrong.

I even started researching Medium indexing after this and now I’m even more confused. Some people are saying their articles got indexed within 24 to 48 hours, while some others are saying they waited for weeks. Reading completely mixed experiences like that is making me overthink everything(yeah I do I know my username says it all).

What’s making me more anxious is that I already wrote my second article too. This one is way more personal. It has my actual emotions and thoughts in it, and now I’m scared to publish it before understanding how indexing on Medium even works.

For context, I’m a technical content writer professionally, but I don’t want to only write technical stuff on Medium. I want to write about interesting things I come across, cultures I explore, travelling, automobiles, psychology, random street observations, deep thoughts, human interactions, basically things that make me feel something.

So I just wanted to ask people who’ve been writing on Medium longer than me:

Is this normal for a new account?
Did your first articles also take time to show up on Google?
Am I overthinking this or missing something important?

Would genuinely appreciate some guidance because right now I’m feeling a little discouraged.

TL;DR:
First Medium article not on Google yet after 5 days, confused if this is normal indexing delay or something I missed.
