Did I fail my diabetic cat?

He was diagnosed with at 10 and died last night at 12 when he slowed way down he wouldn’t even stand. I rushed him with my mom to the emergency vet and he had cardiac arrest on the table. I had them bring him back but he went back into it within a few minutes and they told me his chance of survival was 4% so we decided to let him go.

I tried everything I tried to do at home glucose testing, I tested his ketones, I tried to give him wet food a few times a day and insulin 2 times a day we had water available all the time. I don’t understand why he got so bad. This was the 3rd time. I took him to the vet two other times and he’s get iv fluids and be good for a month or so and then back to this and yesterday he died. Did I fail him? Am I a bad person

I lost him today

I want to die. He was diabetic and lives 12.5 years. He was an orange cat. His name was Axel. He was there for me for so much. I have two more fur babies. But I want to die. I’m sorry I wasn’t good enough Axel.
