Annual Expenses

Is there any way to make it so non monthly expenses don't completely screw up my monthly budget?

The Non Monthly category doesn't seem fully implemented unless I am missing something?

Whenever I have add a annual expense it acts like the entire expense is budgeted against that month?

Filtering Friends by Company and Location

When I traveled for conferences I used to use LinkedIn to remind myself who I know in the area to set up meetings, etc...

I would click on my friends, then filter by the location and sometimes company.

I now go to the friends area and it will only let me filter by name?

Did we lose the other filters?

Large wave of new USAJobs openings in a diverse range of fields

Large range of job openings just posted for JSC. Many of these are being used for the ongoing "insourcing" of contractor roles to civil servants, but several of these positions may be used to fill new vacancies.

In particular the GS range of these postings is huge. Such as the Engineering posting which ranges from GS-07 (essentially intern) all of the way to GS 15 (upper management).

So always worth dropping a resume.

Consequences of accepting GS-12 vs GS-13?

So I am part of the mandated insourcing going on...

Where I work is an equal mix of civil servants and contractors in a role that is "badgeless", i.e. outside of where our timesheets go, there is very little difference between the civil servants and contractors.

For the past 10 years or so, regardless of their background, civil servant trainees have been brought in under GS-12, and once they get their certs in line and are a full member of the team, they get bumped to GS-13.

I've 20 years of experience, with about 9-10 years of experience directly in this role at the GS-13 level, frequently having GS-13s working under me.

They're now telling me that they don't have enough GS-13 spots in the insourcing, and are asking me to take a GS-12 slot at a high step if I want to stay on the team. (When civil servant trainees fresh out of college who I have onboarded and mentored are all 13s.)

Outside of the pay, what are the consequences of me accepting a GS-12 at a high step vs GS-13 at a mid step (where the rest of my colleagues are being mapped)

It sounds to me like I will be accepting on paper that I have less experience in the role than my own trainees, and this is going to hold me back substantially career wise.
