Great news, this is easier than it looks
I have been intimidated by the many amazing paintjobs on this guy's wings up until now. Great news for anyone else who is hesitant: I actually banged this out in maybe 20 minutes and it was extremely easy. I picked six colors of Speedpaint, sticking to transparent ones, and slapped it on there. It takes just a tiny bit of forward planning, figure out how many you're going to blend through on a given wing segment.
Then just slap them on and blend a little.
Dry thoroughly with a hair dryer (doesn't take long, speedpaint dries fast anyway) then move on to the next wing segment.
Remember, if you have speedpaint 1.0, the reactivation "problem" just means blending is really easy.
I'm fairly proud of this, but mostly relieved that it turned out okay without too much effort.
Stay dangerous, sibs.
