Cole Phelps Ribbon rack.

As a Lieutenant in the U.S Marine Corps 6th Marine divison (don’t belive exact regiment is mentioned) during the battle of Okinawa he would be entitled to the following from highest to lowest
Silver Star (mentioned in game)
Presidential Unit Citation (Sixth Marine Division earned it at Okinawa)
American campaign medal (universal award for spending at minimum one year on U.S soil)
Asiatic–Pacific Campaign Medal (with one bronze star for the Okinawa campaign)
And then the ww2 victory medal which is self explanatory.

A question on the numbering system.

Let me start this off, THIS IS NOT A DENIAL POST.

I was reading a book on the Battle of Castle Itter in the book several inmates were brought from Dachau to work in the castle, one of them being electrician. The French prisoners referred to them as “number prisoners” because of the numbers tattooed on them, I’m aware that Auschwitz was the only camp that did numbering. Is there any documented usage of numbering being used for inmates assigned to outside the camps (Itter was considered a sub camp but it was outside the walls of Dachau. Thank you for your time.

My ideal version of a La Noir part 2.

Boston 1967, you play as Roy Gibson an up and coming traffic cop in Boston. Roy is riddled by guilt he’s unable to participate in the Vietnam War due to interference by his mother a socialite and well respected author, Roy’s father had been killed on Normandy beach as a Lieutenant in the First Infantry and Roy’s brother had been killed in Korea with the 5th Marines as a machine gunner. Roy climbs the ranks, starting in traffic and ending in patrol (after being de promoted). At the start of the game he feels like he has failed his father and brothers legacy and tries to do his best to be a hero earning much dislike from his partners who are usually sidelined. After completing the homicide desk it is February 1968, haunted by what he’s witnessed serving homicide and realizing how empty he’s been feeling even with the commendations and now the promotion to vice Roy begins to spiral into a more anti war focus which after being spotted attending an anti war rally getting himself outed and photographed by his former traffic desk partner Roy is de promoted to patrol and reassigned out of Boston to Concord ending the game.

I have noticed over my research into the volksturm misunderstandings, misrepresentation and misinformation mostly unintentionally spread about the Volkssturm using Hitlers last levy by Hans Kissel and Darrin Weavers forgotten of the Volkssturm I will now begin to give accurate captions to volksturm photos beginning with this one.

This image is of a Volkssturm Zugführer after he has been captured. He wears a heer M43 field cap, second pattern Volkssturm armband and an Italian greatcoat.
