Bushmaster Logo History And Question

First post, I think this might be an appropriate sub. If not, please let me know.

Looking at getting my first AR and found a LE trade-in Bushmaster with this logo. Not knowing much about what Bushmaster is/was, I discovered a "bushmaster" is a pit viper/snake BUT distinctively it is NOT a "rattle"snake? If you look at the graphic that Bushmaster stamped/rolled onto tens of thousands of firearms, am I to assume that they made a huge anatomical oversight? Does anyone have any history/origin/perspective? Thanks in advance.

Also, it appears that Bushmaster updated its logo sometime in the early 2010's to a depiction of a coiled snake that does not feature a tail. Did they learn from their "oops"?

I acquired an OLD Toro Recycler 20434 with a Briggs & Stratton on it. Went to change the spark plug and the threads on the head are stripped. I was loosely looking into a helicoil/time sert, but that looks like a precise repair that could be very easy for me to mess up with my novice at best skills. To that, would it just be easier to swap the head (and gasket) and move on with life?
